Wlads next fight

Anyone have any insight on who Wlads next opponent will be. I read that his manager suggested the winner of Fury/Chisora would be a good opponent. I like that idea as even if its Chisora, at least he will have had defeated two quality white British fighters, unlike some of these Thompson, Brewster characters. Also, now that he has three belts, is he facing some mandatory fights soon? I know about the Thompson Chambers IBF eliminator fight, but what about the WBO and WBA?

I think he'll have a mandatory against the winner of Tony Thompson/Eddie Chambers. He's already beaten both of them once.

That was a dumb move on Povetkins part to turn down a huge payday and the chance to be HW Champion. AP was more than ready to fight Wlad before he hired Teddy to destroy his confidence... Why?

Actually I think now we will never see the Klitschkos fight a Russian, IMO, it has nothing to with Altas.

There's so much of a rivalrie between the Ukraine and Russia I think they just don't want anything more to divide them..Edited by: lost

They have talked about the winner of Chisora vs Fury. I don't think Fury would be ready for that and could get ruined if he was badly ko'd. Any opponent will only have a punchers chance anyway. Wlad is too good for these guys and unlike Lummox Lewis he hasn't let the power get to his head.

Vitali after he defeats Tomasz should retire. But if he looks great keep on fighting. Wlad has a good 4 to 5 years left. Possibly 8 to 10 more fights left with at least 7 to 9 KOs.

I'm thinking Adamek wins around 4 rounds in his fight with Vitali. That still won't be enough but at the point Vitali should retire. That will open up doors for guys like Adamek, Boystov, and others to have a chance at a heavyweight belt.

At that point, when a fighter gets Vitali's belt, Wladimir can fight for it and hold all four belts. That would be incredible!

I hope they will retire soon.
That way they'll stay a thorn in the sides of the boxing historians for years to come!

I would like to see the brothers out of the way now.
They gave us some great fights,. But now they'll just be going over guys they have already beat.
If Wladimir and Vitali retired some of the other eastern Europeans would stepup like Boystov or Povetkin.....

If they retire (which they won't) I predict the belt will be pased around every 1-2 fights like it was in the mid 1980s before Tyson consolidated the titles.

I do have my eye on Robert Helenius, a 27-year old Finn who is 15-0 and stands 6'6, 240 (just like Wlad).

Yeah, lost I see your point, but several million dollars+ or euros is still big money and the glamour and lights are intoxicating. The press conferences where most laud you and pay attention to your ever word. I say let them build on their legacy with more highlight reel KOs and making millions. Sounds like a great job to me.

It's a fact that none of these Euro fighters will be even close to as dominant as the Klitschko brothers have been. Sure Povetkin, Boystov, and others are very good fighters but are they locks to win every fight like the Klitschkos? Highly unlikely. They'll have a tougher time.

I really think one of the other east euros will stepup and become dominant.
Povetkin has already beat Chambers and Eddie is in the top three or four of the best nonwhite fighters around, Helenius has KO'd Peters, also in the top four.
So I don't see the east Euros having much trouble holding the titles after the Klitschkos are gone...

The Klitschkos are unstoppable. Vitali is basically undefeated. He was destroying Byrd and tore his shoulder so he had to quit fighting. He was also beating Lewis fairly easily and the cut stopped the fight. He's never been behind.

Wladimir is the best heavyweight in the world right now. I just can't see any of the Euros being as good as both of them. I like Boystov more than Povetkin though because he's younger and has more power.

The only issue I have with Denis Boystov is his size. At only 6'1 will he be able to hang with the biggest heavys?

I'd love to see Klitschko continue his fights in Europe.

He should have a fight in Ukraine, perhaps Kiev.

Wladimir should also be entitled to an easy fight or as they say a "gimme" just because he's been in two good matchups lately (Haye, Peter both top5 HWs at the time).

Wlad should fight in Ukraine against an opponent of his choosing!

Who could he beat to enhance his legacy?

Povetkin would be the main one for me. After that, he would probably be looking at some of Vitali's old victims like Solis, Gomez, Arreola or Adamek if he performs well. Perhaps if he could fell the Russian Giant Valuev that might give him a boost (has the potential to be a real stinker though). None of these would be career defining fights but they would be solid victories to put on his record.

There isn't an awful lot out there for him at present. There could be a few interesting match-ups in a couple of years time if Helenius, Boystov or some other up-and-comer can build a bit of a profile for themsevles.

Chisora would be alright as a "gimme" but only if he beats Tyson Fury, which of course I hope he doesn't do.
