Samuel Peter is looking for a fight, Wladimir Klitschko is ready and willing to oblige him. "Peter has challenged me to a fight," the former WBO heavyweight champion and 1996 Olympic Games gold medalist said. "Well, I wholeheartedly accept the challenge. Let's do it. I am ready. The question is, is Samuel Peter ready? Peter can talk the talk, but now it is time to walk the walk."
<HR width="50%">
Two days ago Klitschko's promotional company, K2, made an offer to Duva Boxing, the undefeated Nigerian's promoter, to fight Sept. 24 on HBO. "The offer was for more money than Peter has ever earned for a fight in his career," Bernd Boente, Personal Manager Klitschko Brothers, said. "We told Peter's people that they could decide if they wanted the fight to take place in either the United States or Germany, where Peter would even earn more money."
<HR width="50%">
Added Klitschko: "It doesn't matter to me where it takes place. I want the fight. HBO loves the matchup. So now it is up to Samuel Peter. Peter says the moment of truth has arrived. I don't believe Samuel Peter can handle the truth. If I am wrong, then we can fight."
<HR width="50%">
The winner of the 12-rounder would take over the #1 spot in the IBF and become the mandatory challenger for the winner of the Chris Byrd-DaVarryl Williamson heavyweight title bout. Klitschko (44-3, 40 KOs) and Peter (24-0, 21 KOs) are the current IBF #4 and #5 contenders, respectively.

Little late since Peter has already signed to fight Sinal Samil Sam. Offering a fight when another fight has already been sgned is an old move.

Would have been interesting though to see them fight id be rooting for Peter but i would not be completly sure Peter could beat Wlad at this point of his stage . Samual still needs some polishing up .

Fistfighter would be rooting for Peter! What a surprise. Thanks for telling us. I'd be rooting for Wlad. Samual needs some polishing? I'm sure Wlad would polish him up a bit.

Funny, the boxing writers that I've read recently all predicted Wlad would never make a fight with Peter. They all wrote that Peter is absolutely the worst type of fighter for Wlad to face right now, against a huge puncher after coming off two recent severe knockout losses.

Shows what they know.

The Klitschko's at least won't sidestep anybody. They are eager to fight.

Peter wrote that letter 5 6 days ago in that time the Sinal Samil Sam fight has already been signed idiot. Wlad now comes out and accepts Peters challenge when another fight has already been signed.

A smart but old move by Wlad get some free publicity while making the impression that you really want to make the fight at this time. It fools the gullible like you not people who actually follow boxing instead of riding the Klitchko's nuts. Good PR move by Wlad i never expected Wlad and Peter to fight soon to much to lose for both fighters at this moment. Neither Wlad or Peter are afraid of each other its just not good business for them to fight each other now. I know you dont understand this concept.

The concept is simple. Peter signs quickly with Sinal Samil Sam??? Throws out a challenge to Vlad and then re****. Who the hell throws out a challenge to fight for the biggest payday in their life and then signs to fight somebody else within a day or two??? Answer: Someone who is scared. Boxing matches usually take weeks and even months to negotiate the set-up. The deal was done before he laid out the challenge.

Wlad and Peter have done nothing that other fighters like say DLH have not done throwing out challenges and causing waves making people take interest . Inever believed Wlad and Peter ould fight each other at this time not out of fear there is to much to lose for both guys. I would be very suprised if the fight where someohow made .

Peter vs. Klitschko "All But Done!"
According to manager Ivalyo Gotzev, his fighter, Samuel "The Nigerian Nightmare" Peter, 24-0 (21), and former WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko, 44-3 (40), have "all but finalized," a deal for their box-off to determine the IBF's new #1 contender. Gotzev says it appears the bout will be on September 24 and that possible sites include Atlantic City; Dallas, Texas; Madison Square Garden in New York; and Las Vegas. "Finally, the moment of truth is upon us. We have agreed to the terms of the fight and there are no excuses," said an elated Gotzev. "He challenged me on fightnews, so now I'm going to 'walk the walk.' As of today, you are a dead man walking, Klitschko," said the hard-punching Peter.

Prediction wlad will win in the 9th round. Peter has good punching power but tends to wear down. He also will not be able to get inside wlad jab/ hook. Peter looks simular to rahman all power and no skill.

Max Kellerman said on Tuesday Night Fights that he belives
that S.Peter will knock him out.He said he can't wait so
we can finally get rid of one of these brothers.He said
it with a evil grin.I would love to knock that grin off
his face.He just can't handle the fact that to white guys
from Russia are dominating the Heavyweight Division and
many more are coming.I can't stand Kellerman.He gets paid
to be an absolute moron!!

I have to admit it, I'm worried about Wlad in this fight. Can't shake the feeling.

Doesn't mean I don't WANT him to win, of course, but still, I'm worried which Vlad will show up, the Sanders-Brewster Wlad or the Byrd-Wlad.

I did notice while reviewing their respective records that Wlad knocked out their one common opponent, while Peter had to win by UD.
