John Mosure's 2 touchdown performance in the first half of the Colorado State game seems so far to have not been enough for him to keep his job as the starting tailback. He's yet to see the field in the second half. Two black tailbacks have so far woefully underperformed in his place.

He must be because this is a little too over the top for a traditionally white friendly team like CSU. I hope its nothing serious. I saw on the play by play he carried the ball right up to the end of the second half, but I didn't see it live so I don't know anything for sure.

I finally found the game! Unfortunately it looks like Mosure is hurt and so is CU Wr Scotty Mckinght. Go CSU they lead 23-10 in the 4th quarter.

Yeah Mcknight was hurt on a cheap helmet to helmet hit by a black db when scotty was entirely defenseless. The new rules say a flag should have been thrown, but no such luck. He doesn't appeared to be concussed though, luckily.

They said Mosure was being kept for pecautionary reasons which means they dont want to lose him for the season I guess.

The good and bad: Gerhart having a great game so far for Stanford while the Wake Forest clown coach continues to under use his best back Kevin Harris. Harris again was the most productive back on the team today-until junior Josh Adams just broke off an 11 yard run which is one of the longest runs since his freshman year. Adams now has 2 carries for 16 yards as of a few minutes ago, but although Harris only has run for 4 YPC he still has a longer run from scrimmage today.

More good and bad: Brandon Wegher has been getting some time as the second RB for Iowa. The world's greatest caste whore Butch Davis's running game had these stats when I last checked at the beginning of the third quarter:
S. Draughn 12-16-1.3-0TD
A. Blue1-2-2.0-0TD
G. Little1-1-1.0-0 TD
R. Houston 1-1-1.0-0TD
T. Yates 5- -24- -4.8-0 TD

Get the hell out of there Hunter! You will continue to sit behind these scrubs. Ryan Swope should get the hell out of A&M too!

The last guy is the QB and that is MINUS 24 yards. At the start of the third quarter this team has made MINUS 4 yards on 22 carries. May this team go win-less. Butch"er the white athlete" Davis deserves what he gets.

It looks like Kevin Harris is destined to spend his final year on the bench. Josh Adams is having a career day with 4 carries for 32 yards with a long of 15 now. Two of his longest runs happened today in his last 125 carries for this junior scrub- he was horrible last year with his 3.5 YPC in the solid Deacon's offense. If you get the ball 4 times more than Harris over the last couple seasons a good thing is bound to happen eventually. Harris still has a far better career YPC.

Wegher just went over 100 yards! He is making something out of nothing, when they know it's going to be a run with a big lead, just about every carry! Yeah, Blankenship hasn't been used, but their starter (Robinson?) is solid and an upperclassmen. Maybe ISU will use Blankenship later in the year when they realize how bad their team is and that they need a spark!

I would say yes but you never know when you have our skin disease! Let's see if he can handle the weekly pounding he will take in the Big Ten. I think he has excellent potential. Great speed, power and he can cut on a dime. True warrior with very good speed to go with it!

Burkhead had 3 carries for 18 yards. The Cornhusker didn't use their running game much today against the Red Wolves. Roy Helu only had 60 yards as the teams leading rusher today. Zac Lee aired it out today, so Burkhead didn't do much. He also had 1 rec. for 11 yards. There should be more of a ground game next week against VT.

Jake Sharp has 7 carries for 56 yards and a TD at the end of the first half against UTEP.

Also, is John Goebel hurt? He doesn't have any rushing stats yet for this week.

I guess since I was able to report on how out of this world talented Wegher is, now I'll have to give some bad news. I saw this coming with Goebel when I did the original White RBs 2009 write-up. Here's what I said:

Cincinatti: John Goebel: Realistically I am not setting my expectations high for Goebel's carries to increase. Goebel slightly outplayed starter Jacob Ramsey; posting a slightly better YPC, more TDs and a better longest run. However, Ramsey is going to be a senior so I don't see a decline in his carries and Isaiah Pead was the very talented 3rd string RB last season posting the best YPC and longest run in limited time. Pead is also the "MOST HYPED" RB on the team. Hopefully Goebel will see around the same number of carries, but I'm not hopeful for an increase.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But here's the current situation: Pead, who gets a constant love fest from Rivals and now NFLdraftscout as a big time prospect, hasn't looked so "amazing" so far this year (as a rusher anyway)...Ramsey has looked very good. I had a feeling that Goebel was going to fall to 3rd team this year, but the shocker is that now he looks to be even further down the depth chart as the 4th or 5th tailback. Hopefully coach Kelly will be fair next year, as Ramsey will be gone, and allow JG to split carries with Pead. I think JG will be a senior next year and I don't understand some no name underclassmen passing him on the depth chart so fast!

Jared Hawkins is still hurt, but Zac Stacy is playing well...albeit the first week was against a completely crap defense. I just hope that Hawkins will be the starter again once his ankle is fully healed. Kevin Harris wasn't used nearly enough this week. Jourdan Brooks had a big game for RU this week and Jersey Joe is going to have to step up next week to not fall to second team- we all know the margin of error is VERY slim for white tailbacks. Joe had a solid first week, but didn't play too well this week against a crappy defense. Heck, some Rivals fawned over true frosh actually got as many carries as Joe. Not a good sign, he could go the way of John Goebel.

I have to say the preformance of the week has to go to Toledo QB Aaron Opelt he was 15/23 for 319yards and 4 td he also had 8 rushes for 109 yards and 2 rushing tds including a 62 yard run. He is the best runner on the team.

Utah RB Sausan Shakerin played in last night's game. In watching a replay of the 4th quarter, Sausan had 1 run to his credit, a 46 yarder with about 2 minutes to go that effectively sealed the game for Utah. He had pretty good blocking on the play, hit a hole in the middle and cut outside to get as much yardage as possible. He showed good speed, but nothing like Jake Sharp. Hopefully Sausan will get to run the ball more in the coming weeks.

Great news and Joe Martinek had 91 yards with a quarter to go in the game. Good to see these kids playing well.
