Great day for Eric Kettani, 24 runs for 128 yards and a TD so far.

Meanwhile Collin Mooney is about 5 yards away from the Army single season rushing record. He has 13 runs for 49 yards with 6 minutes left to get the record.

Congratulations to one of the toughest guys in the nation, Collin Mooney. Even though he should have had alot more carries, he still broke the All Time Rushing Record at Army that had stood since 1990! This kid is a class act and I'm very happy he got the record. Great game by Kettani of Navy as well. Congrats to these two fine Military Men. They make us all proud.

Stats complete. We had one 100 yard rusher in FBS and 3 in the FCS. Nate Kmic is still tearing it up as well. Quietly, he is closing in on Danny Woodhead's NCAA all division career rushing record of 7,962. With possibly 2 more games to play, Nate could break the record and the 8,000 yard mark. He already has two NCAA all division records with his126 TDs and 756 points! Keep running Nate!

Speaking of records, David McCarty's 271 yards rushing yesterday, is a FCS single game record. McCarty could have easily broken 300 yards but was benched early in the fourth quarter with UAlbany ahead of Jacksonville 28-0. Jacksonville University which was almost all black was no match for McCarty. McCarty broke 2,3, sometimes 4 tackles before he could be brought down. He has the speed to play in the NFL. He capped off his performance with a 77 yard TD run. The all black defense could not catch McCarty once he had daylight. He is only a junior and is UAlbany's all-time career rusher. His freshman year ,he played WR and had no carries.

For some reason the Albany game was on my Cable Tv. First, there was no more 300 fans at the game. Secondly, McCarty has NO NFL talent. I was hoping, but that was sadly the truth.

tippycat, your post really baffles me. I didn't see the game, but how can you honestly sit there and write that David doesn't have NFL talent? The man led the entire FCS in rushing yardage for crying out loud! He even has more yardage than anyone in the FBS. If he doesn't have NFL talent, then no RB in the FCS or FBS has NFL talent. As far as attendance at the Gridiron Classic goes, there were 2,264 people there. A paltry sum no doubt, but quite a bit more than 300.

tippycat is certainly acting trollish today, White Power. I'm still waiting for his response.

Call me troll. I am objective in my view with a tint towards white running backs. I found this board while researching the lack of white running backs and i didnt register for over an year. See, I think everyone INCLUDING NON-WHITES, should have an equal chance in life. Let them raise and fall on their own merits. Barriers should be broken down. There is no need for bias treatment. Is it a fact...yes, but that doesnt mean I will accept it.
You folks are proud of your race, as you should be. All races and cultures should be proud of their heritage.
This board offers alot of good info., although something a little to racially negative for my taste, but hey was perfect in life?
Now to respond to particular questions. Regarding McCarty, the only reason I heard of him was via this board. I was excited to see him play. Good game, no doubt. At that level of play, you need a "wow" fact. I didnt see it. Point of fact, when was the last white running at that division level to make an impact in the NFL? Hint he was out of Colgate, early 70's.

Trying to " get good with the board", Please, this is not some wealthy social club that I need to justify my ego.
If I wanted to be a troll, why waste my time typing over the internet? My views are objected based on fact. Hell, let me be a troll, was a Army Ranger, or does it sound better being a Marine recon? I played CB at a division 1 school, could have made the NFL but the coaches wanted blacks to play.
Just Ban me.

Draft Daddy thinks McCarty has NFL potential:

University of Albany junior tailback David McCarty ran for 271 yards and scored 4 touchdowns in Saturday's Gridiron Classic.

DD.comment: Yesterday was the first time we really got to watch Albany for a significant amount of time. McCarty was very impressive. He could've ran for well over 300 yards if he hadn't sat out most of the 4th quarter. Talented kid, who sort of reminds us of a bigger Jake Sharpe of Kansas. McCarty, who's only junior, has committed to join the Marines after graduation, which is fine. But we are shocked that TV announcers and writers in Albany don't ask why a back with his size, quickness and dominating stats is not on the N.F.L.'s radar? From what we saw, McCarty, at the very least, will deserve a long look as an undrafted free agent in the spring of 2010.

tippy, there is no way in the world you can call yourself objective and not be impressed with the number 1 rusher in all of Division 1 football. If he isn't impressive in that regard,or in breaking an FCS record, then there must not be any NFL quality backs out there this year. What say you?

Nope, this week's semi game wasn't on TV, just the internet. Next week's Stagg Bowl game should be on TV. Mount Union won 45-24, but Wheaton had some good white players as well who put up more points on Mount Union than any team since last year's championship game. Scott Panchik finished the game at RB for Nate after he broke the record.

The DII champions are the largely white Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs.

The DIII Championship game will be next Saturday between the very white Mount Union Purple Raiders and the majority white Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks. Hopefully Nate Kmic, Greg Micheli and company will roll over the Warhawks and win their 10th National Championship since 1993.

It's interesting that virtually all the rushing and receiving records are owned by whites in the lower levels. This is because these record breakers should really be getting playing time in the FBS, but were snubbed in the recruiting process.

Good point ToughJ, and I agree. Arguments about competition aside, these men would do a great job at any level. Nate Kmic looks 5-9 to me (although he is often said to be less than that), which is plenty big enough for the NFL. He is built well enough to take the pounding that running the rock will put on him and I think he will show himself more than fast enough if invited to the combine or a pro-day. Even when facing massive discrimination, white WRs and RBs show themselves to be as good or better athletes than anyone.

Since when did you move to PEI Canada Colonel?

I hope you love my lovely homeland! I'm planning to move back this summer to Ontario with my girl. we have a wedding planned already for July! We both will be much happier going back to Canada than living in dirty Jersey. My salary is significantly higher here, but I don't like the atmosphere and my girl is teaching H.S in a dangerous neighborhood; which makes her uneasy. The housing prices here in Jersey are high enough that if I bought a house it would cancel out my significantly higher pay. I'm living with my cousin's family right now in a nice garage apartment real cheap. Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

ESPN.com blogger Brian Bennett had this to say about Brock Bolen recently:

9. Brock Bolen, Louisville: Often mislabeled as merely a fullback, the sturdy Bolen has speed and athleticism, as any defender he's ever hurdled can tell you. The thunder to Anderson's lightning this year, Bolen has pro scouts interested in his Brian Leonard-like versatility.

As a side note I've worked next to Bennett at a game in the past year. Very nice guy.
