Unfortunately, I think Case Keenums tenure as a starter is soon to be over, as the Texans will surely have the #1 pick and take Sewerwater.

Oh, and count me in as another who is firmly on the Blake Bortles bandwagon. I had never heard of him before I read about him on this board, but the guy is shooting up in the draft rankings. I watched some of his games and the dude can flat out play. If the Texans had any sense they would take him #1 in the draft over the overhyped black quarterback.

Unfortunately I think you are right on Keenum. Somehow he has come crashing back down and the biggest part of his game he has to work on is recognizing the blitz. All DCs know all they have to do is blitz him and will struggle. I do think there's a good chance he sticks around regardless because of his arm.

Keenum is a rookie. He has promise but needs to improve.

The Texans seem to be OK at QB with Schaub, Keenum and Yates. However, if they have the opportunity to draft Carr, Bortles or Manziel they should do so.

Houston is relatively white friendly, by modern NFL standards. I wouldn't count them in the automatic "let's go wif da black quarterback" column too quickly.

They have a black GM, wouldn't shock me one bit if they drafted a black quarterback. It depends on who their next coach is though. It also sounds like Bridgewater may stay for another year. I am hoping Bortles ends up in Houston if he declares. He is a really good prospect - better than Bridgewater.

I keep getting this feeling they are going to go after Jay Cutler. I think Houston is built to win now, if they can bring some stability at QB. IMO, A veteran would be a better option than taking a gamble on a rookie. Anyone else see this as a possibility?

BTW, From what I've seen on some of the other message boards though, DWFs are dying for Lovie Smith and Bridgewater....... :puke:

And that is why they are DWFs. Idiots do not even realize that the personnel on defense in Houston do not fit the cover 2 that Hatie Smith has coached his whole career.

doesn't stop Tomlin from "coaching." Every black head coach in the league is known as a tamp 2 specialist, with the exception of Romeo Crennel, not sure what scheme he was with, the only guy that didn't coach dbs before head coach, he coached the line.

So if they had someone else run the defense like they do with the Steelers then it would be plausible.

Yea true, Once LeBeau is gone from Pittsburgh I can't wait to see what a talented head coach Tomlin really is lol.

The success of the Steelers in recent years is mainly due to two people: Dick LeBeau and Ben Rothlisberger. If it wasn't for these two white men the Steelers would have been mediocre or worse.

Every team in the AFC which has either clinched or is still mathematically alive for a playoff spot features a white starting signal caller. Manning, Brady, Dalton, Luck, Smith, Tannehill, Flacco, Rivers and Roethlisberger. An excellent group with several future Hall of Fame players.

The three AFC teams that have heavily featured black quarterbacks are, unsurprisingly, eliminated.

NFC teams are heavily represented on the black quarterback front. Newton, Kaepernick and Wilson are all in playoff position. White QBs in playoff contention are Brees, Cutler/McCown, Foles, Romo, Rodgers/Flynn, Stafford and Palmer.

Alex Smith is having an excellent year. He's helped turn one of the worst teams in the league into one of the best.

This is his third year in a row with a quarterback rating over 90, which is very good.

Matt Schaub has been traded to Oakland where he will likely be a starter. He will likely replace Terelle Prior as the starter.

Most of the top quarterbacks for the 2014 NFL draft are white.

Manziel, Bortles, Carr, Mettenberger, Savage, Garoppolo and McCarron are all white. All of them will probably be off the board within the first three rounds.

Bridgewater is the only black among the top quarterbacks.

Jordan, brother of Aaron, just got cut by the Dolphins. This is 3 teams in 2 years I believe? Based on the film i've seen, he reminds you sometimes of Aaron, but needs a little more development. I hope some team will sign him and see his potential.

He should have gotten an opportunity as a mobile QB or as a running back but lacks the NFL's required skin color:

Former Kansas State QB Collin Klein is heading back to K-State to serve as a graduate assistant. He'll join coach Bill Snyder's staff. After refusing to play positions other than quarterback in talks with NFL teams, Klein went undrafted in 2013, and was not signed following a tryout with the Texans. He signed a two-year deal with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes this April, but has obviously changed his mind.

Yep. I see they have Jordan Lynch listed as a running back in Chicago but he's buried on the depth chart. Most likely he will be a casualty of the great white purge in a couple of months.

"Tamp 2"? WTF is *that*? For that matter, what is "cover 2"? Wiki and Google aren't helping with my answer.

John

He's referring to the Tampa 2, 4-3 defense. The 2 refers to the the 2 deep safeties(John Lynch)that patrol halves of the field. Usually the CBs in this system play zone(ronde barber) and they like quick LBS(Derrick Brooks). Hope that helps!

The Senior Bowl is an annual event that gives players a chance to show what they can do for NFL scouts. Players can earn jobs on NFL teams with good performances. If you're not invited then you lose a chance to prove yourself worthy of a job in the NFL.

As in every other aspect of American society, whites are denied opportunities to play in the Senior Bowl in favor of inferior black candidates.

Tom Savage of Pittsburgh should have been invited. He was not.

The North squad had three black quarterbacks, two of whom had statistically inferior seasons to Savage. Neither Logan Thomas of Virginia Tech or Stephen Morris of Miami had a completion percentage over 60%. Tom Savage did. Plus Morris is from the South and Savage is from the North. Morris and Thomas are, however, black, so they got the nod over Savage.

Savage was discriminated against because he was white.

According to some reports Kirk Cousins has completely outplayed Robert Griffin in the early 2014 preseason, including in one preseason game.

It's too early to draw any definite conclusions but this development is encouraging. Even if Washington chooses to go with Griffin as the starter, if Cousins can continue to play well he may end up as a starter elsewhere. He seems to be making the most of his opportunities.

The denigration of white players vs their black counterparts by the press seems to me more a factor of career-preserving cowardice rather than any conspiracy. This is worse for QB than any other position, since they get the most attention.

As a reporter or writer doing a piece on up an coming talent, you certainly have a handful of negatives to say about any player, white or black. The problem is that when you state the more obvious negatives about most black players they come off as being stereotypically racist. If time tells that you are correct, you gain very little, if you predict incorrectly, you lose greatly. With white players, it is the opposite. You don't lose anything by skepticism and negative reviews of a white prospect. If you are right about them being a bust, you gain credibility, if you are wrong, it's because the white player was a hardworking overachiever. It is acceptable in Western society to admit openly that you never expected a white person to have what it takes to succeed. To openly state the same thing about a melanin-blessed individual opens you up to being called a racist. Not everyone can pull off what Gruden does and simply be positive about every single player out there. You have to be brutal to SOMEONE, and career risk/reward says it's simply safer to unleash your reserve of scorn for whites.

The irony is that the real racism in all of this is the very attitude taken on to avoid being racist itself. If an "anti-racist" hears someone attacking the mental fortitude of Cam Newton his mind immediately goes straight to the notion that it must be because he is black. Why does he think this way as a color-blind anti-racist? Why must he overcompensate with illogical platitudes about a black players mental attributes first and foremost if not to make up for his subconscious feelings that he needs to help that player out in that regard?

These same career/face preserving attitudes on race and culture affect coaches and talent scouts just as much. A talent scout's career can survive missing out on the next Johnny Manziel because he is undersized or mentally immature/undisciplined. His career may not survive missing out on the next RG3 for the same reasons. A coach can survive benching an Alex Smith in favor of Kaepernick. His career may not survive the reverse.

When someone comes back with the old standby that "the best players play," what they should really be saying is that the players playing are the ones that have the highest odds of preserving the careers and social acceptability of coaches and talent scouts.

I wanted to bump this outstanding post by Pie. Lurkers, take the time to read it. It sheds some light on the thinking processes of the anti-white media.

White quarterbacks Ryan Nassib, Zach Mettenberger, Ryan Griffin and Matt Barkley all played well in preseason games today. They all helped their chances with their respective teams.

McGloin, Cousins and Garrapolo have also played really well this preseason. Nassib has looked pretty good from what I have caught of him. The Bills were idiots to not draft him as an insurance policy last year. As far as im concerned Nassib is the second best QB in NY behind Manning. Manuel and Smiff are both jokes/Vick is decent but is obviously on the decline having maxed out any of dat upside years ago.

Cousins really needs to do an Alex Smith and find another team. He's a much better QB than the Gremlin but Caste ideology and uber-liberal Dan Snyder will never allow him to "take" Robert's "rightful" place. I was so happy when Smith was able to find a team that respected his talent and reward them by making a huge contribution to turning things around for them.
