As a KY fan I was really glad to see Billy Gillispie get his walking papers. The man has some serious issues and needs therapy. The name being batted around on the bulletin boards for the next UK coach is John Calipari. My impression of him was that he mostly recruited and played black players. Does anyone here know a lot about him?

i have hated Calipari since he was at UMass. he's a cheater and a racist. to my knowledge he's NEVER recruited a white basketball player. hell, he doesn't even recruit local blacks to play for Memphis. he doesn't even pretend to care about academics, either, because you can count the number of scholarship players that have graduated from his teams over the years on one hand. additionally, his teams have a history of having HUGE amounts of talent but choking under pressure and losing to inferior teams when it counts (as happened this year in the NCAA Tourney against Missouri).

Agreed with JC 100%. Calipari and the Memphis negroes always underperform. Someone I know had Memphis losing to UNC in the Championship game in their bracket. I told him it was a huge mistake putting Memphis in the Final Four at all. I'm really smiling now that I was proven right again by Tiger High.

Actually, that's the team I support. They've had excellent teams for several years now. They've got a great bunch of kids and great coaches as well. Everyone connected to that program from the coaches to the trainers are first class.

Yeah, I have always hated this racist coach. Now, Kentucky won't recruit another white man forever with this guys all-black recruiting policy. He seems to have a weird fetish recruiting stupid blacks who couldn't name Memphis on a U.S. map with cities' names on it.

oh ok. i am an alum from a school in the same D3 conference. haven't been to many games though...
D1 is too much like big business for me. guess we need to support lower level teams.
