Wes Welker the latest to pull the "aw-shucks-I'm-a-slow-white-boy" routine. You can check his twitter feed for the exact exchange but basically Dante Stallworth gave Wes Welker a nice compliment via twitter saying every team is looking for a Wes Welker these days and that Wes revolutionized the game. What was Wes's response (verbatim): "Haha! A short slow white guy? #not smart" Way to go Wes.

Hopefully that's sarcasm.. Wes punched a hole in his wall when he was not offered any scholarships on signing day in HS. You would think he'd know the deal

I hope you guys are right. It got me so mad I didn't even consider sarcasm. Sarcastic or not, it would be like Donovan Mcnabb saying it's not smart for NFL teams to look for the next Mcnabb--what team would want a dumb, lazy, fat black boy as their QB? And to add the hashtag "not smart" to the end, I don't know, I didn't like it.

With 3 catches on Sunday, Wes Welker moves into 23rd place on the NFL's all-time receptions list, (821), passing the great Steve Largent. I'm glad Welker's moving up, albeit slowly, but I hate to see him pass Largent. I look forward to seeing him pass a lot of blacks on his way up the list.
He can join Jason Witten, number 19, with 853, as the only 2 white players in the top 20, if he get 30 more receptions before seasons end.
However, Manning needs to get him the ball more than 3 times a game!

Agreed. Manning needs to look at welker and decker first as demeyrius is not consistent.
Welker has said nothing about retiring but the Caste media keeps bringing it up, presumably because of his concussions. He's still a very effective receiver who is about to turn 33, which isn't old for a White receiver, especially one who wasn't used much his first few years in the league.
I haven't read of any inquiries asking Reggie Wayne if he's going to retire -- he's 2 1/2 years older than Welker and blew out his knee last season.
When the anti-White media starts badgering a White player about retiring, it's because they want him to retire. The biggest example is all the articles about how Austin Collie should quit, but none about black receivers who have had multiple concussions doing the same.

damn talk about desperate to get him out. 2 concussions his entire career and coming off a 73 catch season, which could have been closer to 90. Stokley just retired at 37 and had over a dozen concussions. I guess they are hoping that he calls it quits before he gets 1,000 catches and 10k yards. He is a season away from that, if he is utilized correctly. Edit: a season away from 10k, 2 seasons away from 1000 catches, he is at 841, for some reason I thought he was over 900.

You could make a very good argument that Wes Welker has been the biggest thorn in the side of the caste-system ever. Virtually every significant white receiver playing has probably been compared to Welker at one time or another, and that was a good thing. He has created a niche position and it's been very successful.

You will remember that media types were asking Brett Favre "When are you going to retire?" when he was 35.
I was definitely thinking of that. Favre was badgered so much that I'm glad he eventually created the yearly drama he did.
Roger Clemens was another one. The media seemingly couldn't stand that he was still a very effective pitcher into his 40s. He supposedly had an arrogant attitude, similar to that of Lance Armstrong, so the reflexively anti-White media types were always ready to go into a feeding frenzy over anything relating to Roger.

I believe he was caught with speed, not PEDs, as in Meth.
His cap number is $8 million this year, so extrapolated over the 17 week season, that one little Molly tablet (or tablets) cost him 1.9 million bucks.

Oh wait, they did weed which is not supposed to be a big deal, or addictive, yet if it wasnt addictive, Bell and Blount would have had no problem waiting until after the game, in Philly to do it, where possession is less harsh. They got caught because the officer smelled them smoking it as they passed by. The officer was on a motorcycle.
I hope he doesnt have serious problems with drugs, i havent heard of anyone who is hooked on molly because you get pretty burned out, which cant be good for the concussions he has had recently because your mind feels even more out of it. Usually people who do it abuse other drugs though. Welker is in his 30's and shouldnt be doing these kinds of things, It would be more understanding if he were in his young 20's. And at the Kentucky Derby of all places? It doesnt matter if he has money, if he has a problem with drugs that wouldnt stop him. Bill W. was wealthy and lost it all.

Molly is a recreational drug of cocaine, meth, crack and estasy. I think amphetamine is under ped because it can increase alertness, reduce fatigue etc. but he didnt use it in a game. but you could make an argument for weed enhancing performance as some ppl believe it to help to do it before training or competing. I mean all of those Seahawks were testing positive for amphetamines, they said "adderall" but thats all adderall is, 4 different kinds of amphetamine salts. I guess Welker didnt think it would have amphetamine in it so he couldnt get caught. who would have thought, people selling drugs werent honest. It only stays in the system for a few days, so either he got unlucky or was doing it frequently.
I dont understand why he said molly at kentucky derby if it was positive for amphetamine, I would have just went with adderall for something like staying awake (like a kicker said years ago for the Saints, he was trying to stay awake for a long drive)

Of all NFL players, I believe that Welker didn’t knowing ingest illegal drugs or PED’s, as he’s been clean his entire career and did everything the hard way. Also, can anyone here remember the last time a white receiver was busted for PED’s in the NFL? I can’t recall a single one. Since the 1990’s, the only whites to ever be suspended for drugs are: RB Travis Jervey, FS Matt Stevens, QB Jim Miller, LB Scott Shanle, OT John Welbourne, LB Gabe Miller, G Allen Barbre, P Brett Hartmann, LB Brian Cushing, OT Ryan Tucker, FB Luke Lawton, OT Luke Petitgout, QB Tim Couch, OG Matt Lehr, P Todd Sauerbrun, FB Rick Razzano, and WR Matt Jones.
Welker most likely ingested (unknowingly) a banned supplement during an off-season workout. Now the most important white player of his generation will be dubbed a “cheater” for the rest of his life.
