The WAC an the Mountain West Conference are better than what the blow-hard announcers would have you believe. BYU is having a poor season in the mountain west but they beat Notre Dame to start the season. ND the the next three weeks in a row beat michigan, michigan state, and washington. North Carolina beat Miami and Utah thumped North Carolina. Despite 2 loses miami is still highly ranked. Hawaii, never a contender in the WAC, got thumped by Boise State by about 60 points on national tv. Just yesterday, Hawaii (4-4 in the WAC), beat Northwestern (5-3 in the big ten). The media and the rankings would have you think that the WAC and the Mountain West are like junior colleges and don't stand a chance. Keep questioning what you hear.

I agree. The WAC (and Mountain West)is also far more entertaining to watch than SEC and other black dominated games, which tend to be dull and low scoring. Just as in basketball, football games with a fair amount of whites tend to have better fundamentals and more intricate offenses. Unfortunately, there won't be an outside infusion of whites, as in basketball, to make the deficiencies of "black" football glaringly obvious, which is why football is the toughest nut to crack in the caste system.

Good point. Unlike many conservatives, I like the
idea of globalization. It means more competition,
which is healthy and good. "May the best man win."
The NFL is inbred. It's isolated from global
competition, which isn't good for the talent pool of the
league. Of course, if white Americans could
compete on a level playing field, that would lessen
that problem. We're like a country within a country,
and the caste system is burdening us with unfair
protectionism towards black athletes. It's like they're
subsidizing blacks and placing tariffs on us!

Of course, if the NFL does become more
"globalized," hopefully the NFL will never set up
football "academies" in Latin America to serve as
black substitutes (in other words, to avoid playing
white players) like they're doing in Major League
Baseball.

There's no doubt that Europeans could play football
if they were taught the game. Just look at all the big,
strong, fast rugby players. Their career prospects
are better in Europe playing rugby, thanks to the
caste system. But who knows, someday they may
help to break it down like their comrades are doing
in the NBA. Maybe NFL Europe will help raise
awareness of football in Europe and influence the
youngsters over there to take over American football!

Austin Collie out of BYU was named the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the year.Luke Staley last won
the award for the Cougars back in 1999. Austin is a
deep threat on every play and showed the leadership skills of a upperclass men.Good luck to him in the future.I see him being another M.Haas,D.Anderson.
