This fight is on for March 21/09.

When they were with Universum, I've heard that Gomez sometimes defeated Vitali in sparring, but always lost to Wladimir. Styles make fights, and a technically brilliant boxer like Wlad would have an easier time than Vitali with a slick, quick Ali-like boxer like Gomez.

On the other hand, I think the iron-chinned Vitali would be more certain to defeat a boxer-puncher like Haye, although I'm confident Wlad can too.

Styles make fights. If it was Wlad vs. Gomez and Vitali vs. Haye, I would be 100% of the outcome of each fight - win for Klitschko. However Gomez has a slim chance of winning a decision over Vitali, and Haye has a slim chance of knocking out Wladimir.

That being said, if you are betting on either fight, it would be wise to put your money on a Klitschko!

I would not put much stock into Gomez "defeating" Vitali in sparring. For example, Paul Spadafora "defeated" Floyd Mayweather Jr. in sparring but we all know if they fought Mayweather would at the very least win every round handsomely. Vitali has sparred with many and toyed with them; he cannot very well bang up his sparring partners or he will not have any. When Gomez fought Virchis, Vladimir was completely flat footed for 12 rounds and looked lazy and tired from the 2nd round onward while Gomez stayed on his toes and boxed just enough to win most of the rounds. My view is that if they fight Gomez' southpaw stance will be a perfect place for Vitali to park his right hand on. Gomez would be made to look like Sam Peter but more mobile.

JC Gomez has always been a underrated fighter, he's probably better than Haye. He has a southpaw style that's hard to look good against.

But with that being said Vitali will probably stop Gomez late like he did with other mobile fighters like Larry Donald and Vaughn Bean. Although it wouldn't surprise if Vitali stopped him sooner.

I just wish we didn't need to wait so long for Wlad vs. Haye.

Wladimir wanted the fight in April, but Haye won't be ready until June.

Haye is afraid to fight Wald at his best, both mentally and physically. Haye knows he'll get busted if that were to happen. Simple as that.

I tend to stay away from eastsideboxing as it is always anti-white. Most of the people at that site are wiggers who don't know anything about boxing.

in 2005 i started posting on eastside for a week then got banned forever! i moved got a new isp and HEE HAW! i wsa back! a little hillbilly experiment. i started posting as a racist black. and noting happend i got more racist and vulgar.but noting happend.i sad if ali wsa back no europe ****s be holding no belts and junk like that. needless too say i got wornout thinking of insults and quit but i never got banned.....

Well blacks are allowed to basically say anything they wan't and get away with it. It is the same thing on youtube.

I'm waiting for Vitali to smash this black hope Gomez. I know he can do it. When the Klitschko's are gone its Povetkin's division for a while.

My German is admittedly poor,(I literally couldn't make out more than a sentence or two from Gomez, he sounds slightly punch drunk). Vitali actually said he and Gomez are friends and that's boxing(why they are fighting). Things got testy when they related their sparring sessions from 12 years ago. Both claim they got the better of each.

I don't see Vitali having any problem at all with Gomez. Vitali always prepares well for his fights. Vitali, Wlad, and Calzaghe, in my opinion, have the best technical skills out there.

One last thing about the hate in this fight. I would say it's about 90 percent scripted. As Ohner and Sidinek are in-laws. Ohner is married to Sidinek's daughter. So if you see these two going at it during the weigh in. Either it's fake or divorce proceedings are going to happen a few weeks later.
