Yes My sources has informed me that Vitali will be back in 2006.Vitali wanted to retire(temporary) so he wouldnt have to be stripped since he tore up his knee(ACL).Vitali will rest and recuperate 100% from his injuries and he will come back in 2006 mark my words.I think I know what He and Wlad are planning and I think its a very intelligent move, but then again they are chess players so it doesnt surprise me.Edited by: onewarrior5

I hope he comes back successfully, however I would rather see him enjoy retirement than fight at less than his full potential because of health problems and age.

Vitali may come back he is still in his prime and when the knee heals he may get the ole hunger again. When he watch's Rahman/Byrd/Ruiz, guys who couldn't carry his jock strap and the big money he can make whipping these clowns, he will think very seriously about coming back.
Oleg Maskaev beat Sinan Samil Sam to win the WBC title eliminator so how about a rematch with Rahman [who he beat once]. Oleg has a better record then Rahman and beat him in the ring. Don King giving Rahman the "Title" and $5.00 will get Rahman a plate of cheap ribs in Harlem. Maskeav should be the CHAMP!! Also Povetkin[Gold Medal Winner]won so did Timor Ibragimov on Saturday night.

It's disappointing about Vitali but he was a great champ and to me anyway rehabilitated the image of the white heavyweight. Sooner or later one of these Russian fighters are going to blaze through the division. Maskaev might be more aggressive then Vitali so it could be for the best anyway.

I think Vitali will come back, it seems all fighters do, how can a person refuse millions of dollars for a couple hours work? But usually it is a bad idea.
