The United States national team plays a World Cup Qualifying match against bitter rival Mexico at 7pm Eastern time on ESPN. The game is in the states(Columbus) and so hopefully most of the crowd will be cheering for Uncle Sam.

Guest 301; I new here. I am a soccer fan. As I'm sure you know Columbus, Ohio, is always chosen for the US home WCQ against Mexico because it's has the unique combination of being very cold in February and the not having many illegal aliens nearby who are willing to sit outdoors in February. I'll be watching.

Welcome to Caste Football. I live maybe two hours from Columbus and so I know all that you wrote is very true. Columbus also has a soccer specific stadium that was built for their MSL team (the Crew) and it's a good venue to actually go and watch a soccer match.

Hopefully the Mexicans will be cheering for Mexico and the Americans will be cheering for America. The trouble "America" has is it needs definition and clarification as an identity. "Mexican" and most other nationalities don't suffer from this problem. Having Mexican Americans cheering for Mexico helps, in some small, way to help clarify American identity as something more than a paasport or a green card.Edited by: Karl Baxter

Very good point. I don't think the Mexicans support the MLS too much in Chicago, even with Blanco.

    this is an excellent point.

often times, the US team is outnumbered in the stands even on its "home" fields. mexican "americans" resolutely, visually, and VERY verbally support their native land of Mexico at every chance.

even the US team's players have commented on this very thing numerous times in the past, about how they feel like playing Mexico is a road game even when they're playing on US soil. if this doesn't open some eyes, i don't know what will.

of course, there are so many things out there that should open the eyes and wake up the drunken sheeple but don't, that i've lost count. and a little hope. [IMG]

I never lose hope, because the worse the White race does, the worse the rest of the World will do, and history proves that the worse things are overall the better the White race ultimately does. We thrive on adversity. It's a pity that we have to do things the hard way like this, but it's our final redeeming quality and we will be redeemed by it.

I don't see a lot of the other races that hitched a free ride on our success over the last 500 years doing quite so well. Edited by: Karl Baxter

The place looks packed with US fans. Just watched them erupt after the set-piece goal.

It was especially nice to beat those guys after the Blockbuster company(Mexican Division) put out US national team voodoo dolls with the word "gringo" on the back of them and distributed them to mexican fans. The announcers were making light of it but I find it offensive. If a american company had put out Mexican national team dolls with "wetback" on the back of it, I don't think anybody in the MSM would think it's funny.
Nice to see the coaches son Michael Bradley score both goals and the United States dominated in possession time for most of the game.Edited by: guest301

Great example of the racist double standard that allows non-Whites to be racist with impunity. Just to correct the balance, I'll say, Well done America in beating the bean-munchers, 2-0.

USA played about the worst game I've ever seen them play. It was like watching two college teams go at it. Of course, the weather and pitch conditions probably affected play somewhat, but it was just pathetic to watch at times. We still ended up winning 2-0, which makes me pretty optimistic on what this team is capable of if they can get it together. Mexico has fallen a loooong way. I expect erickson will be gone in the next couple months.
