Great post Gary! But now that all the best heavyweights are white, who are the sportswriters going to idolize? I guess we'll be hearing about a "dark age" for boxing and how all the best athletes are going into basketball and football.

By the way, Wlad is still only 29 and Mike Marone just turned 20 I believe.

Somewhere the search for a Great Black Hope begins.

Well said. The answer as far as the sportswriters would appear to be no one who's white. Now that whites are dominating, heavyweight boxers hardly get any mainstream sports coverage. A Lexus search would probably find Mike Tyson still getting far more mention than any of the current white heavyweight fighters out there. Vitaly was probably less known among the general public than any heavyweight champion since. . . when?

Yesterday Taras Bidenko won over Aldo Colliander[black who lives in Sweden]. Taras is 6'4 230lbs he is only 25 years old, his record is 16-2. The two losses were to Nicolay Valuev in Bidenko's 4th pro fight and Tough Vladimir Virchis. I'd like to see some of these men fight in the USA.
Wlad is hopefully going to be rematched with Byrd soon. I want Wlad to whip him good like he did the first time they met. The press here calling Rahman and Toney the two best heavyweights is laughable

.I'll take Maskaev and Sultan Ibragimov against Rahman. I'll take Wlad or Valuev against Toney. Toney is 5'9-Wlad is 6'7 and Valuev 7'.
Watch out for Minto and Marrone two American lads. Also J.D Chapman. This hopefully will be a great year for boxing with White Heavyweights taking full control of the division.
