Bruce Feldman, a senior writerfor ESPN Insider, has listed his Top 100 college football players for the coming season. The listhas just 23 whitesand consists of many guys we have talked about here:

2. A.J. Hawk, OSU, LB: Great speed, great instincts and is superb against the run and the pass.

3. Matt Leinart, USC, QB: Mr. Cool is a perfect fit for possibly the most loaded offense in college football history.

9. Eric Winston, Miami, LT: Converted TE has a coach's grit and a bouncer's mentality.

10. Chad Greenway, Iowa, LB: Not quite as flashy as Abdul Hodge, but even more versatile. A rangy farm boy type who keeps making huge strides each year.

13. Brian Brohm, Louisville, QB: Will tear up the Big East. Might be the top pick in the '07 Draft.

16. Greg Eslinger, Minnesota, C: Best center college football has seen in years. Has great agility and heart.

30. Jared Zabransky, Boise St., QB: A winner. Dual threat, who pilots a great scheme.

35. Drew Tate, Iowa, QB: Pinpoint passer needs to cut down the picks (14 in '04) to make a run at Heisman contention.

43. Bruce Gradkowski, Toledo, QB: Overshadowed by Omar Jacobs, he's the nation's most overlooked star (27 TDs, 8 INTs, 70%).

51. Tyler Palko, Pitt, QB: Should be even better now that he's working with Matt Cavanaugh.

52. Andrew Whitworth, LSU, OT: Only allowed one sack last season.

55. Anthony Fasano, ND, TE: Nation's best blocking TE should thrive in Weis's regime, showcasing his underrated receiving skills.

62. Chad Henne, Michigan, QB: Has all the tools to be Michigan's next stud QB prospect.

66. Robby Carpenter, Ohio State, LB: Every bit as athletic as A.J. Hawk, but not as consistent.

67. David Anderson, Colorado State, WR: Tough wideout is a lock for 1200 yards. Also a great blocker.

76. Spencer Havner, UCLA, LB: Active Bruin will again contend for nation's tackle title.

79. Mike Hass, Oregon State, WR: Best-kept secret in the Pac-10. Production is as good as any WR.

80. Brady Quinn, ND, QB: All the pieces are in place for a dramatic improvement.

87. Greg Olsen, Miami, TE: Hard-nosed kid has soft hands and knows how to get open. UM coaches are convinced he will be their next first-round TE.

91. Charlie Whitehurst, Clemson, QB: Should rebound from dismal '04 with new OC Rob Spence altering the offense.

94. Will Derting, Wash. St., LB: Would jump 60 places higher if he can get back to 2003 form.

95. Tim Day, Oregon, TE: Should get 50 catches and 10 TDs this fall.

100. Nick Reid, Kansas, MLB: Best bet to lead the Big 12 in tackles.

If Hillis and Smith start and succeed next season, they might be on the top 100. I wouldn't bet on it though, remember we are dealing with the Caste System here.

I am seriously pissed that my homey Eric Deslauriers of Eastern Michigan U. (they play in the MAC) is never recognized. The guy was second in the nation in receiving yards (before the bowl games). What's a white bro got to do to be recognized?

Be the record holder in every category in their position and then they'll still be #2 behind some black dude who won't pan out in the NFL. Just ask Peyton Manning.

I'm exited to see Colorado State play this year. There
2 star offensive players are Kyle Bell at running back,
and David Anderson at wide receiver.Anderson is as good
as they come.Bell is bigger and faster. This team will
be a blast to watch play.

Grenway reminds me of Keith Brooking and that is saying something. As for Hawk? Not to overstate but he has the markings of sheer greatness. And number one player in the 2006 draft!!. Derting is another lb to watch on list. Also Drew Tateand Tyler Palko have very good athletic ability so if they improve their overall passing etc. lookout.

No doubt, we have plenty of guys to watch this season. Hopefully our reports may boost their visibility.

Wisconsin has a white FB ,Matt Bernstein with tremendous size and
very good if not great speed who has started for the past 3 years but
may get 5 carries a game if he is lucky because he is a blocking back.
When both black running backs who run the ball on every running
play were injured in the same game against Penn St in 2004., Barry
Alvarez had no choice but to make Matt the "running back" and responded
by rushing for well over 100 yards. In the NJ -NY yearly HS all star
Governor's cup game in 2001pitting the best from each state , Matt (who
currently is bulked up to 270 lbs) broke a run for 38 yards. The
interesting thing about this run is that Matt was as fast as the 3 stud
black defensive backs who were trying to bring him down.. These
defensive backs had been signed by Miami Fla and Notre Dame to playll
the following season .They only got to Bernstein because they had the
angle. So here we have a tremendous waste of incredible football
talent because whites can't run the ball in the Big Ten and other
top conferences. Even though he is tremendously fast for his size ,the
clueless TV announcers during the Penn State game assumed Bernstein had
little if any speed. Bernstein 's HS was lucky to have a .500 season
before he came along and led them to 3 straight New York class C state
football champions When I saw his first college game on TV I
naivelly assume Bernstein would be the number one ball carrier. But
then I came face to face with the football caste system and for
the first time was convinced t running back is reserved for blacks such
as the running back Anthony Davis was also a freshman playing his
first collegiate game.

Great post.Welcome to the board jwhite96.I saw the game
where Bernstein ran wild.He could do it week in and week
out if given the opportunity.Instead he is forced to
block and give the glory to the running backs.Being a
fullback is one of the hardest jobs in football and they
don't get enough credit.Matt should be the running back
there. They did the same thing to Mike Alstott when he
was at Purdue. He wanted to stay at running back but they
forced him to put on weight and be a fullback. At least
he got to run the ball more than Bernstein.

I have a good feeling RB Tre Smith from Auburn will be on next year's list once he gets to show what he can do this year.

Bernstein looked like a tailback in that big game against Penn State -- a 270 pound tailback! He obviously knows how to run. Although Penn State was a weak team last year they still had a very good defense; it was their offense that was horrible. Of course there was no interest whatsoever from the Wisconsin coaching staff or the team's fansin developing Matt as a halfback after his excellent performance. After all one of their black running backs was healthy again.

Think if Bernstein played at about 240 pounds. How could anyone not say that he would be a legitimate NFL tailback prospect? Just about everyone, unfortunately, being blinded by endlessly repeated stereotypes and propaganda that is never contradicted except on this site.

A guy i like that nobody really talks about is brian leanard the running back a rutgers. he was a sophemore last year and lead them in both rushing and recieving. He has good speed for his size and they improved alot last year. I look for him to have an amazing year this year.
