few have taken notice, but Todd Johnson has looked very good this preseason for the Rams. he has started at both free safety and strong safety, while also fulfilling his required special teams duties. if i'm not mistaken, he is leading the Rams in tackles, too.

as an aside, Johnson was an elite cornerback coming out of high school before being shifted to free safety at the University of Florida.

he always looks good when given a chance. i won't hold my breath to see him start or play extensively.

word is that the rams may be starting either condren or Todd at safety in place of Corey Chavous
