The club is billing Titans cornerback Pacman Jones as the host and rookies Vince Young and LenDale White as his special guests for a bash called "The NFL New Millionaire's Club."

Look's like the Titan rookies have found a good role model in Pacman Jones.

"A brawl broke out during Titans' practice Thursday morning after running back LenDale White spit on safety Donnie Nickey.

Nickey and White collided at the end of a play, and after they were separated, Nickey accused White of spitting on him. Several other defensive players stood up for Nickey, claiming they witnessed the same thing.

Minutes later, at the end of a play near the sideline, White was knocked out of bounds by Nickey after an incomplete pass. White elbowed safety Vincent Fuller, and several other defensive players jumped in, including Nickey again.

Titans Coach Jeff Fisher sounded off to the players, and accused Nickey of a "cheap shot."

At the end of practice, Fisher called the entire team to the middle of the field, and among other things told the players to leave the incident on the field.

So a rookie RB spits on a 4 year WHITE NFL veteran during practice and at the end of practice Fisher calls out the white safety for a "cheap shot". Way to go Jeff

Of course, if it had been Nickey who spit on White, he'd have been accused of being a racist, because after all, spitting on a black man is a sign of disrespect, and then suspended and fined. Perhaps even kicked off the team.

In the afternoon session Fisher changed his tune when talking to reporters:

Fisher said later he found out what happened, what he called a violation of the code of ethics, and he apologized to Nickey.


"I didn't know everything, but there's stuff that goes on out there that shouldn't have gone on out there. Donnie understands, and LenDale understands he crossed the line. You just don't do that. It will not happen again. I assure you it will not happen again," Fisher said.

I'm glad to see Fisher retract his original statements regarding Nickey.

Yeah, just like the Bill Romanowski episode years ago with him spitting in the face of JJ Stokes.

Fisher after watching the practice film and talking to his players did a complete 180 on the Lendale White issue. He apologized to Nickey for his [Fisher's]initial criticism AND sat Lendale White out of the preseason opener.
