Hey, some of those funny looking white guys are receivers and running backs. What was the NFL thinking back then? White guys actually doing something other than blocking for the representatives of God's Chosen Athletic Master Race. Ridiculous.

Hello Jaxvid! An excellent site indeed. Rarities like white halfbacks, a long time ago. My football card pile dates 1967 and 68. Got the AFL and NFL, just love my old Fred Biletnikoff and Ray Nitschke cards from the 1968 Super Bowl (or was it 67?)
Pat Fischer, white CB for Wash Redskins, was a favorite of my dad's back then. Gosh, I wonder who was indeed the last white cornerback in the NFL before the very brief appearance of the NFL Giants' Sehorn.

Scott Case was a cornerback for the Falcons from the mid-80s to the mid-90s. He made All-Pro. That's two white starting cornerbacks in the past 20 years other than a few backups or brief starters like Kevin Kaesviharn of the Bengals, who excelled at the position and was made into a safety as his reward.
I've said this about cornerbacks before....one of the main reasons whites never play it is because pass interference can be called on every play, it is just up to the referee. Coaches fear that white guys will get flags everytime because refs know they can flag whitey with little fear of complaint. Some claim it is an issue of speed or "quick-twitch athleticism" but that is the BS to cover up for the real reason. Speed at corner is way over-rated. What is needed is intelligence to know where the ball and the play is going. Really, if whites played corner in large numbers then the avarage point per game would go down by about 21! Another reason for the caste bias, the NFL wants higher scoring games and knows that white corners would shut down all the hotdogging, jig dancing, Terrell Owenses of the league.
