Is Dirk Nowitzki the Last Legend of European Basketball?

I'm asking because with European basketball greats like Dino Meneghin, Arvydas Sabonis, Sarunas Marciulionis, Vlade Divac, Toni Kukoc, Drazen Petrovic, Zarko Paspalj, Sergei Belov, Kresimir Cosic, Nikos Galis, Detlef Schrempf, Rik Smits, and etc....gone, has European basketball run out of great players?

I'm fully aware that some I stated above never played in the NBA.

Sure, other than Nowitzki, there's Pau Gasol, Peja Stojakovic, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Hedo Turkoglu, Memo Okur, and Andrei Kirilenko. But Dirk has individually achieved many times more than his present day European contemporaries. So, is he Last Legend of European Basketball?

Belinelli is stepping his game up. Ithink Spain has 3 players that could be stars in the league Gasol is the closest while Fernandez and Calderon are young guys just starting to shine. I think Dirk is a special player and there may never be another player like him!

Rudy Fernandez has been very impressive for the Trailblazers.
It's interesting that Spain has so much talent. Fernandez, the Gasol brothers, and Calderon, Rodriguez, and Rubio. Really impressive..especially relative to the rest of Europe.
Remember too that it took Nowitzki and Nash several seasons before they really became superstarts in the NBA.

Supposedly Ricky Rubio is not coming out in the 2009 draft. That means that my Memphis Grizzlies need to lose games for at least another year.

He is the guy out there that everyone is focused on.
Reminds me of the hype that Lebron had in high school.

I can't wait for Rubio to come to the NBA.

Ricky is just coming off injury (wrist I think), and his buyout is huge, so he's staying in Spain.

Rubio will shake back, and be a legand I think. Also Rudy Fernandez is a freak athlete and smart scoring gaurd. He could become a great one.
