brazil getting more and more attractive and acting like the european big clubs:
http://globoesporte.globo.com/futeb...do-ano-principal-contratacao-e-um-chines.html

corinthians signed a chinese player:mad:
the article says that corinthians want to invest more in asia
you can't see it, but i'm really angry right now

flamerda (flamengo) might be the next club to do this kind of comercial things, with their jewish woman-president, patricia amorim (who is always talking about opening presidency of clubs to women, destroying this macho world, ect)

great match today from a player that came out of nowhere, douglas grolli, from gremio (the match was a friendly match, then the gauchao will start, the competition between the teams of the south of brazil)
he came recently to the club, having played in 3d division before
on the right on the picture

he is central defender
following his great match, he should be a starter for his team

let's see how far he will go in brazil
there are very high expectations for him

yesterday it was rogerio ceni's birthday, he is now 39
he played more than 1000 matches with sao paulo, scored more than 100 goals (while being a goal keeper) and he is a one-club man

to celebrate, the brazilian count in a portuguese league match:

benfica-gil vicente: 3-1 for benfica

benfica: 4 brazilians + 2 argentines + 1 paraguayan + 1 uruguayan (the other players are 2 white spanish and a black belgian)
1 brazilian, 1 argentine and 1 white portuguese came in

gil vicente: 6 brazilians + 5 portuguese
2 brazilians+ an african came in

I was watching Real Madrid vs Ath Madrid and a Brazilian took a bad shot and the announcer said he looks more like an Irishman than a Brazilian. Typical. As if there weren't great Irish players.

i know that kind of announcer
they say it looks like an irishman because ireland is one of the only national teams to be usually close to 100% white
they would never say that it looks like a french player, and i have seen quite a few french players take bad shots
and ofcourse they wouldn't say that it looks like a zimbabwean or other african country

Random question: is Pepe from Madrid white or black?

I always thought he was a Mediterranean white, but my friend thought he was black. I couldn't find anything online, so does anyone know?

He was born in Brazil. He looks mixed race to me. It looks like he has some black in him. He represented Portugal in the WC because they gave him citizenship.

True. I still think he's white, but it's hard to tell. This is the only picture I could find of him with any sort of hair, and I think it makes him look whiter, although I'm still not sure.

The Portuguese league is a joke with all the South Americans.Did Martin Tyler say that is bad, no. He wouldn't have the guts most likely.

The Brazilians have been highly overrated for the last few years and are not nearly as good as during the Ronaldo era. They do not have a single world-class attacker right now. Although Alexander Pato is a solid forward, he has not fully met what's been expected of him. In the midfield, the Brazilians have nothing: both Lucas Leiva and Ramires are only above-average players, and they're not good enough to shine the boots of the Spanish players. It's only in defense where Brazil have truly world-class talent in Thiago Silva and Daniel Alves.
-------

Regarding Portugal's Pepe, there's no way he's Black. He looks triracial to me, perhaps 1/8 Negro ancestry. An example of what a Brazilian mulatto would look like is Portugal's Jose Bosingwa.

Pepe before he shaved his head had the hair texture of a European or Asian man, not that of a Negro.

pepe is, like most brazilian from the north of brazil, triracial: black, amerindian, and white (but not legit white, they can't tell any white ancestor in their family, like thierry henry for example)
there are no picture of his family because the brazilians don't care about pepe, since he is a bad brazilian player
same for david luiz, he's not a good brazilian player (played in 3rd division in brazil)
but i'm pretty sure that one of his parents looks totally black

a new middle fielder is oscar from internacional, and previously sao paulo
i saw him play for internacional, he's very good
a little bit skinny for european football though
he's white

pato is, when not injuried, the best player in the world, better than messi and diego forlan, and you probably know how much i like diego forlan

dani alves is overrated i believe, barcelona could do without him (they are trying to sell him right now)
