If you want a stable team you must have white players. Football in the 80's was better then now and it was even better in the 70's and 60's.

Black players are not just egotistical jerks they are frequently pathological criminals that should be playing in prison not the NFL.

I notice the two white players you mentioned were summarily dismissed from the league while the black jerks are given starring roles, endorsements, and hero worship. Really fair huh?

Interesting that of the three black"model citizens" mentioned, Harrison is facing a civil suit filed by a young fan who claimsHarrison choked him afterhe askedfor an autograph, and Rice was present at a San Francisco whorehouse when it was raided some years back.

And as far as acting like a jerk, Rice takes 45 self-loving minutes in front of a mirror to put on his uniform before games, and was seen last year tossing his helmet around the field in anger after his team won because no passes were thrown his way.

Geez Don, don't ya know that those kind of actions ARE being a model citizen if you're black.
    (examples)
Jesse Jackson: adulterer, fathered a child out of wedlock.
Marion Barry: crack user, whore monger
    Michael Jackson: child molester

    and the list goes on.

Well ESPN gave Owens a forum to shoot his mouth off today.
He was on PTI yapping for 5 or 10 minutes. This guy has got to be
the biggest jerk in the NFL which would put him high in the
running for biggest jerk in the world. He is an embarrasment to
himself, his team, the NFL and to professional athletes in
general. I hope the Eagles hold their ground. His agent,
the obnoxious, money-grubing jew Rosenhaus told a bald-faced lie on the
show as well. He said that Owens wasn't even one of the 10
highest paid receivers in the NFL. Owens got a 10 million dollar
signing bonus as well as a little over 7 million in salary last year
for a total of 17 million. And yet here he is with his agent
talking about getting "his" money. What a joke.

Pehaps you misunderstood him. I'm sure he wouldn't intentionally deceive anyone over a dispute concerning money. [IMG]

I have always found people of the jewish persuation to be highly scrupulous regarding matters of......uh, nevermind.

[Q]This guy has got to be the biggest jerk in the NFL which would put him high in the running for biggest jerk in the world. [/Q]

Good one. Another selling point for the NFL: "We've got the biggerst jerks in the world!"

I have a bet for you guys.I have a strong feeling that
Owens will demand a trade to Atlanta. He has his house in
Atlanta and he loves M.Vick.The funny thing is if he went
there, his numbers would get even worse.McNabb is a far
better qb than Vick will ever be.Can you imagine the two
big egos on the same team.I'm so sick ot T.O. I don't care
where he goes but he just needs to shut him mouth and play
    ball.Somehow I don't think that is possible.lol.

"You're saying that back in the 80's when blacks were still being shunned from football,..."

If you are referring to the 1880's I'm with you, otherwise...what the hell?

I'm actually enjoying watching Owens dig his own grave here.

He may be all the rage with black worshipping ESPN, but in the NFL he is only losing credibility.

The best thing the Eagles did was not at all cave in to his desire to break his contract for more $.

The ego and passive aggressive tendencies of Owens only makes him look
like the jackass he is to his Philly teammates. And this really is all
    that matters.

Every joe fan and media sports pundit can have his own opinion, but the ones that matter are his coaches and teammates.

Owens is only ostracizing his own team and coaches even more.

This disaster of a man is amusing to watch.

The worst thing that ever happened to Owens was that he did not get his ass beat (badly) by another player.

This is what he desperately needs.

Jew Rosenhaus has no control over this ego masked as a person.

I hope Owens breaks his leg - or gets them broken.

The NFL would be better without him.

    Philly is now drama central.

    LOL!

    Terrell Owens for President !!

The young fella' is bucking for the title of all-time obnoxious miserable African football player. Used to be Deion Sanders. Hollywood Henderson was in there at one time. Lavar Arrington was a good choice for a while. But it's such a target-rich environment, hard to know just which criminal to choose. J. B. Cash elegantly describes the levels of criminal African football player in his column from Spring 2005.

Hey White Lightning! Great Post, and great idea! Michael Vick and Terrell Owens. Sure candidates for the "Best Christian Athlete Award" of 2005Edited by: Realgeorge

If those guys are the best Christian athletes, then I'm changing my faith. Well, not really, but it is quite a joke that Owens gets so much publicity and can't even act like a human.

I think most of these guys say they're Christian because its the 'thing to do.' They think it will make Joe Six-pack think they're regular guys. Just like him.

White announcers are now openly voicing their disgust with Owens. The ever pliant white sporting masses are undoubtedly expected to applaud their "stand."

The corporate media and its announcers and "journalists" have created and enabled hundreds of Owens types in contemporary pro sports. It's only when one crosses over into the realm of low IQ petulant self-absorbed lunacy that they find the "courage" to denounce him.

Owens has been doing this act for years. What's amusing is the support he has always gotten from black announcers and indifference from white talking heads. He insulted and ridiculed Jeff Garcia beyond belief and was treated as a hero when he went to Philadelphia. Then one day he insulted the great black hope quarterback, Donovan McNabb. Nobody puts down Donovan McNabb! (just ask rush). Suddenly the all the talking heads are finally trashing TO the way they should have been for years.

In other news, Randy Moss is getting jealous of all the media attention TO is getting so he is talking about smoking pot again. Who can root for these guys?

    Timeline:

TO: trashes Jeff Garcia and goes to Philly.

Moss: Moons packer fans and walks off the field before a game is finished.

TO: Gets injured and rejoins the team in their superbowl LOSS.

Moss: Gets traded to the raiders.

TO: Contract dispute, holds out, gets kicked out, and insults McNabb.

    Moss: Pulls the weed card.

TO: Tune in to ESPN tommorrow for attention seekers update.

This TO stuff is disgusting to
watch. He probably can get more money by not working because of
    all the attention he receives.

Tiki Barber came up with a great line when he was informed that Owens is supposedly writing a children's book called "Little T Learns to Share": "He may be drawing on someone else's experiences."

I kinda like some of things Tiki Barber has said recently. The line about TO and calling out Michael Irvin when Irvin questioned his leadership. At least he's not your typical ganster/thug/criminal/me-first crybaby/ that's so typical of the NFL these days.

The latest news on TO is that he apparently takes naps during team meetings. Jerry Jones said that it was important for his personal health. [IMG]
