we haven't talked about these guys very much, probably because they started off the year poorly. but they've battled back and are one of the hottest teams in the country right now, having won five in a row before losing a close one last night at Cal.

the Cardinal routinely starts four white guys, including their two best players: PG Chris Hernandez, who i think is arguably the best PG in the country, and F Matt Haryasz, a versatile all-around talent at about 6'10.

they face off Saturday night with Gonzaga on ESPN in a showdown of some of the best white talent on the West Coast.

Big game tonight.. Gonzaga needs it to keep pace for a #1 seed and Stanford needs it to keep their at large bid hopes alive... I think I'll be pulling for Stanford although I like Gonzaga more, because they simply need it more than the Zags and we want all the good white teams in the tourny as possible...

I hate to see Gonzaga lose, but I guess Stanford getting in the Tournament would be worth it. I wish I could see this game.

I can't root against the Zags unless(possibly) they were playing Duke. But Stanford winning would be a nice consolation.
