The African teams are currrently a splendid 1-5-2 on their home soil.

If ESPN and SI could find a way to tout the rise of African hockey they would do so.

Actually, I heard Ghana was developing quite a hockey team. But they drowned during spring training one year.

Looks like its shaping up to be a great game between Mexico and France.Rooting big time for Mexico of course.The Mexicans have always had technically very good players adept at keeping the ball and knocking it around but have always lacked the size and strength especially up front,a major weakness but this Mexican team looks big and fast and are more than matching the African French.

well the french league is 60-65% black so it's not a big surprise.

10 of 23 are white but mostly backups who won't get much playing time.

Wasn't that a pathetic tackle by Abidal? It was stupid to slide tackle in that circumstance and he was so lazy he missed by a mile yet couldn't be bothered pulling out last second. Had that been an Italian defender he would've just run him out of play or if he could hardly keep up he would at least forced the Mexican into a sharp angle cross. Add that to the Nigerian player who had a meltdown and we have a disastrous day for the Africans.

In this world cup the black teams are having a mare so far.

I think the average of the mexican players is more then 4/11 white in dna so the ranking is from the most white Urugauy lol number 1 to 0 % white first 11 players of south africa.

- Gourcuff, the young white hope had been slipped away from the team and rumours are all the same : the "scums" like Ribery and Anelka made pressure on the coach for him to be dismissed because he is "too well educated, too polite and even... too white"

Well maybe the fact that 10 out of the 23 French players are white and some of their black players are getting long in the tooth like Henry may cause a dramatic switch in their racial makeup in the coming years. One can hope. It was weird to cheer for Mexico of all places today but that is how much I loath the French national team.

France is just as bad when it comes to basketball. You rarely ever see a white French basketball player get drafted into the NBA. Every year they put some black guy in the NBA though.

I'm not sure Europe but France is the worst offender by far. They have let millions of African immigrants into the country over the years. My buddy went to Poland last year and he told he saw a few blacks.

How many black people live in France and where do they live? It can't be more than 5% of the population. I didn't see too many in Paris when I was there. Most are in the burbs I guess.

I hear Lyon is 50% Muslim also. Do most people care about this or do they just accept it because that is what the morons in gov't allow to happen?

Do many of the Algerians cheer for Algeria like the Mexicans here cheer for Mexico?

I found it hilarious that the Irish fans that were at the France - Mexico game were cheering relentlessly for the Mexican team because they had bought tickets thinking Ireland was going to the World Cup, but France knocked them out of the tournament, so now you have 2 of the worlds most infamous alcoholic nations: Mexico and Ireland cheering for the same team!!!
