3 or 4 players on the Swiss team are from Bosnia or Kosovo. One guys parents lost their jobs and just moved to Switzerland. It's good to grow up is Bosnia. You destroy your country then you get to move to Switzerland or Sweden. There are several Kurds and Turks also. The Swiss team is pathetic.Plus, there is Fernandez. There are a lot of players from the former Yugoslavia throughout Europe. I guess Switzerland has a ton of immigrants.

Another guy came from Zaire. How do you get from Zaire to Switzerland? Why let them in? The Swiss don't need Africans ,so it must be some guilt trip. These people are just crowding out the people who belong there, just as all immigrants do.

This is not an accurate description of these teams.

That's true. Italy, in particular, has a surprising number of players with lighter features. I hadn't seen their national squad play in over a year (and many players have changed since the 2006 World Cup squad). That was a dumb comment on my part.

Thrashen, my favorite male athletes, writers and scholars to cheer for are Celtic men (since I'm one), but Mediterranean girls (Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic) and other olive skinned girls (also Native American women (from the north and east) are the most beautiful women in the world IMO. I also like the half Indian (from India)/half white or half Hawaiian/half white look.

I didn't even realize the World Cup started yet. So who is doing well so far? How's the U.S doing so far? Are Spain and Italy looking as dominant as they usually do in the early rounds? Does Brazil look like the best team? (I'm hoping not). I think I'll be pulling for Spain or Italy, (but the U.S, England or Germany winning wouldn't be bad either since they are mostly white). Isn't even the Netherlands' team over half white? Forget France!Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

OK - I have seen every team now and have noted the racial breakdown of each squad's starters. This is not scientific but just my impression of the races. For most games, I have seen the opening where they are all lined up for the national anthems. For a few, I missed the opening and had to note each player on the field. I think this is pretty accurate but let me know if I have missed anything:

Algeria â€" all North African/Arab
Argentina â€" 10 whites, 1 mestizo
Austraia â€" all white
Brazil â€" 4 whites, 7 blacks/mixed
Cameroon â€" all black
Chile â€" 7 or 8 whites, at least 3 mestizos
Denmark â€" 1 black
England - 6 whites, 5 blacks (may improve to 7 whites next game)
France - 4 whites, 7 blacks
Germany â€" all white (though 2 Turks)
Ghana â€" all black
Greece â€" all white
Honduras â€" 8 mestizos, 3 blacks
Italy â€" all white
Ivory Coast â€" all black
Japan â€" all Asian
Mexico â€" all white or mestizo
Netherlands â€" 9 whites 2 blacks
New Zealand â€" 10 whites, 1 abo
Nigeria â€" all black
North Korea â€" all Asian
Paraguay â€" more or less all mestizo
Portugal â€" 10 whites, 1 black
Serbia â€" all white
Slovakia â€" all white
Slovenia â€" all white
South Africa â€" all black
South Korea â€" all Asian
Spain â€" all white
Switzerland â€" 9 whites, 2 blacks
United States â€" 7 whites, 4 blacks
Uruguay 9 whites, 1 black, 1 mestizo

I can attest to the racial breakdown you present"¦however, Australia is all-white, with the exception of a single mixed-Polynesian player (Tim Cahill) who was red-carded against Germany. Perhaps his replacement for their next match will make the Aussies all-white.

I'll be rooting for the squad with the lightest skin, and with the lightest physical features (in terms of hair and eye color)"¦regardless of what national border they happen to live within. I'd prefer Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Serbia, Slovakia, or Slovenia, etc. Failing those teams, I suppose I'd prefer a team such as Denmark, the Netherlands, or Switzerland (one of their black players just scored against Spain).

Never mind, this about answers the racial make up question. Thanks for the write-up Liverlips! In that case I'd pull for Dutch over England. Man South Africa has ZERO whites starting (I know blacks are the majority there, but there are still many whites living there). I guess we are seeing a new apartheid there, but of course no media coverage this time, it's only discussed if it's racism against blacks. We are the only people who constantly give up our land, culture for other races and install racism against our own kind (ex. American fools believing that 13% of the U.S populous should make up about 70% of the NFL and 75% of the populous should make up just under 30% of it and about 0% at a couple positions).

Guys, I'd appreciate a summary of some of the play of the whiter teams against blacker teams so far as I don't have time to read the whole thread when I'm usually working 6 days a week from 12-9 PM.

You probably already know Uruguay handled SA easily.

I am hoping for 8 whites for England. If Crouch plays for Heskey that's 8. If J Cole plays for Lennon with Crouch in the lineup that's 9. Hopefully, Green or Hart play in goal.

My ideal lineup for England is: J Cole,Gerrard,Lampard,Barry,Milner in midfield, Rooney up front.

South Africa losing on Wednesday certainly made my day. Watching them enter the stadium doing some stupid Zulu chant/dance, and on the anniversary of the so-called Soweto uprising, this was a sweet outcome against a fairly white Uruguay side. I hope Mexico can beat France, and this way, the two African teams France and SA will play for nothing next week.

It's funny how no one says a word about the all-black South African soccer side, but as soon as the powerful Springboks rugby team becomes too white, threats start flying from everywhere that we need quotas and more blacks, or else.

Also, watching the game today, I did see a fair number of white SA fans in the stands. It is simply beyond me how any self-respecting white South African could possibly root for that team of thugs.

I guess the DWF is not an exclusive species here in the US, it can be found anywhere in the world.

Sure, Brazil are loaded with blacks (and my virulent hatred of Brazil is legendary
smiley36.gif
) BUT their squad does contain seven white players, four of whom started thematch against the Koreans, with Elano getting onto the scoresheet. I would assume that a partly-white team / squadis preferable to a 100% non-whiteteam of flat-faced Asians (and from a Communist dictatorship to boot)... Anyway, that's just my opinion

...The only differences around the Mediterranean are cultural.

One can generally easily spot the difference between a Turk and Arab on the one hand and, for instance, an Italian or Spaniard on the other.Anyway, I've already discussed this and the more important "cultural differences" at length in the "Is Zidane White? thread.Let me just say that the "cultural difference" isprofound and becomes more striking in proportion to the size and concentration of a Turkish population. For anyone who believes that Turks are white, I'd recommenda trip to Berlin and a saunter around Kreuzberg- that shall cure You of any misapprehensions soon enough...

Approximately half the Swiss starting 11 was non-white. Gokhan Inler is a Turk. Hakan Yakin is an Arab. As I said earlier Eren Derdiyok is Kurdish. Then there are the two blacks.

Hakan Yakin is actually a Turk, whosebrother Murat also turned out for Switzerland. The Swiss national team has long had a Turkish presence - striker Kubilay Turkyilmaz was at one time the country'sjoint all-timetop scorer. Eight of the 23-man squad are non-white, which is a frighteningly high proportion.

As for the Spain-Switzerland match, the worst aspect (from a publicity view) is that the winning goal was scored by the black Gelson Fernandes. The fact that the Maori Winston Reid scored the last-gasp equaliser for New Zealand unfortunately also provides more non-white material for highlights packages and front page photos.

Just out of interest, here in Australia all of the newspapers were, unsurprisingly, packed with front and back-page stories about our team's belting at the hands of Germany (the Rugby League and AFL-obssessed media loves it when they can show the Socceroos as hapless losers way out of their depth). So, who was the centrepiece of every main photo? You guessed it, the black Brazilian (oops, German) Cacau...

light eyes are 80% of white scandinavians to 90% in Portuguese, greece.
Im from the netherlands where 55% have light eyes of the ethnic dutch.Hair colour ranges from 50% blondes in scandianvia to 10% south europe. In central europe 2% has skintype 1, 12% skintype 2, 78% skintype 3 and 8% skintype 4.the white brits 75% have skintype 1 or 2.
the average white american is more british then they are % in europe so very light skin is more seen in usa whites then in europe etc.

their have always been some mixing in europe that is why you see nordic and meditteranic all over euope but of course most meditteranic is seen in europe with higher % dark feautures etc.their have been more north west to south west europe migration and visa versa in west europe then their have been migrations east west and west east that is why west europeans have very little slavic in them.

Greece is playing Nigeria tough right now it's a 1-1 tie. It would be nice if the Greeks can play Nigeria to a tie or squeak out a win!

It does matter to me.

I simply prefer teams which feature players with light skin, light hair and light eyes (because those are my own physical characteristics). I would never apologize for feeling this way"¦because it is utterly impossible for me to feel differently.

Greece scores on Nigeria in the 71st minute (2:1). The African nations are falling apart.Edited by: Thrashen

Italy not white enough for you?

Teams like Italy, Greece, and Spain are also somewhat acceptable (though not preferred). A squad in which all eleven starters have olive skin, jet-black hair, and jet-black eyes simply isn't "diverse"Â￾ enough for me to whole-heartedly support. I'm a second generation German with blonde hair and green eyes"¦I will support my own until they are all eliminated from contention. I think an Italian or Grecian or Spanish person should do the same.

Dude you have got to get out of the nazi-aryan mode of thinking for white nationality to ever get off the ground. Lots of WHITE people have olive skin and/or black hair/brown eyes. To ghettoize your white awareness by thinking that only Nordics should support Nordics, Mediterranean's support their own etc. is ridiculous. That kind of thinking leads to divide and conquer.

The boneheaded attack by the Nigerian on a Greek player that got him a red card changed the whole match. Until then Greece didn't look like they would accomplish much.

The world cups not been too bad regarding non white starters for the traditional white football powers.Despite Germanys 2 Turks i still look at them as a white team.Turkeys on the outskirts of Europe and the country has a significant number of white looking people and their national teams have reflected this over the years from soccer to the wrestling teams they send to the Olympics. The great boxer Jeff Fenech was an Australian Turk that was viewed very much a white hope back in the day Germany have a Black Brazilian that gets playing time as did Spain a couple of years ago with Senna which is not ideal but in all honesty theirs a massive difference between them and the African players who represent France and other nations as their not the same demographic and cultural threat to whites as their Black continental brothers.Hollands another good team to root for starting only one Black. The other non white Van Bronkhurst has a white father,Asian mother. The Dutch in 1996 started around 5 Blacks and in a couple of friendly games in 98 started as many as 7.even their European championship winning team in 1988 contained 2 Black starters so the Dutch have improved considerably over the last few years.Portugal are another team i expected to be darker than they are starting only 1 Black.Obviously Spain,Argentina and Italy are more or less all White. Our teams look to be in good stead to make it through to the second round.Edited by: Mighty Joe

Interesting discusion about who is White and the racial make-up of the teams.Watching the CBC broadcast of the Greece-Nigeria game the commentator mentioned how the light-skinned Nigerian was born in Tashkent, which I think is in Uzbekiztan, and would have played for Russia had they qualified. That's something I didn't think I would ever see,a"black Russian".It's happening everwhere guys.

One nice thing about the World Cup is that the groups seem pretty fairly balanced, with European teams sprinkled in with Asian and African teams, so that we get lots of great caste matchups, like Greece vs Nigeria, or Uruguay vs South Africa.

Great results so far. Let's hope Mexico beats France this afternoon.

African nations are living up to their reputations as laughable losers.

With the exception of Ghana's 1:0 win versus Serbia (won via a goal scored on an simple penalty kick), no African nation has been the outright winner of a single soccer match.

It just doesn't make any sense"¦an entire continent chock full of pure-blood African men can't win a competition involving athleticism? With such innate athletic ability, African squads should win every single match, every single year. Instead, they have thrown themselves further into the doldrums of international irrelevance.

Yet the American Caste System continues on, at breakneck speed, unabated towards everlasting darkness.

I'm sure the media will find a way to play it out though. Maybe the countries that beat these black teams just had a better gameplan? Maybe they just got lucky? You know they will spin it out of control.

Well, France goes back to 8 blacks and 3 whites. Guess 4 whites was too many for the frogs.

God, I hope Mexico defeats this thoroughly racist team.

I'd rather cheer for an all-black African team over them.
