Apparently Nick Saban's idea of "diversity" is an all-black team. Here's DraftDaddy's description of Wes Welker, the very talented kick returner/wide receiver, which containsa link to an article that claims Welker, the Dolphins' productive third receiver last year, may be cut:

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Wes Welker averaged 15 yards per catch last season on 29 receptions, finished 2nd and 11th in the NFL in punt return average in 2004 & 2005, can kick field goals up to at least 30 yards and is almost a Pro Bowl caliber coverage player on special teams, yet a Miami writer claims Nick Saban wants Welker off his team.

Snip from article: No. 1: The Dolphins have been trying to replace Welker since Nick Saban was hired as coach. That's a fact and indisputable. Saban is all about having certain criteria for different positions and Welker doesn't fit any of those in terms of size and speed for kick returns and receiving. End

After reading the glowing reports of his performance on and off the field, one has to wonder about Saban? Could there be an unmentioned criterion on Lou's list which automatically disqualifies Wes?

As long as the crazy white fans keep packing the stadiums and buying the NFL merchandise talented players like Welker will be fighting for their positions every year.

The Packers' scrimmage drew over 62,000 fans the other night. The NFLcontinues to bewildly successful and more popular every year. The long offseason compared to other sports makes fans' anticipation ofeach season intense.

How many of the 62,000 fanswho attendedthe Packers scrimmage care whether Marc Boerigter makes the team or not?

Whites need to wake up and be racially more aware. All of the other ethnicities are except us.People need to be proud of their heritage and support their own kind first. It doesn't have to be thinking your better but being proud of your race.I cannot imagine watching a sport and never rooting for a white athlete to succeed.I wonder how parents can raise their kids to be ashamed of their race.It just doesn't make any sense.

Welker is a tremendous player.
I would be very interested to know his total yards gained last year from kick returns, punt returns and recpetions combined, as I suspect it is very high.
The one good thing to take from this is that if cut I believe he would definately get picked up by another team, where he may have more of a future.

I agree with Triad and white lightning on this one. If we could get more whites to be aware of what is going on, there wouldn't be 62,000 in the stands for a scrimmage. Talented players like Wes wouldn't have to fight for the scraps of NFL playing time either.

Exactly. That's why the "Teams just want to make money and that's why they would never discriminate against white athletes" argument doesn't hold water. These teams are going to make mountains of money regardless of whether some white WR, RB, or CB (who nobody has ever heard of anyway) gets a legitimate chance.
