I never listened to Rush. Most of what I know about him is from what others on The Right say about him, both good and bad. I also know that sh1tlibs absolutely hate him so he was doing something right. From what I gather, it’s because he mocked liberals. Ridicule is a powerful tool, which we should use with reckless abandon again the Neo-liberal, corporatist power structure. That should be Rush’s legacy, exposing that chink in their armor.

RIP, certainly gone too young.

My dad listened to him all the time. So I grew up listening to him as well. Haven’t for many years now, but would catch bits and pieces here and there.

He relentlessly mocked the Left, wouldn’t bow to their demands and had a way of articulating Conservative positions in understandable and rational ways. I liked him and even more so respected him as he was in the forefront of the fight against the creeping Marxism.

And from a Caste Football perspective, it was Rush who dared insinuate that McNabb (and blacks in general) were propped up and given latitude because the media wants them to succeed. He insinuated it wasn’t their talent per se, but the agenda the MSM has which is why more and more blacks are “succeeding” in the league.

I listened to him in the 90's. I remember my boss introducing me to a new co-worker with "he listens to Rush Limbaugh" like it was some kind of warning.

I lost track of him after the 90's but in the last few years I'd wanted to start listening to him for his take on how crazy things have gotten. But I never got around to it and I can't now.

Seems like simpler times. Conservative vs liberal. Bill Clinton is a jerk. Even many of the dems admitting a problem on the border. Like something from another century.

I wander if Limbaugh in the end felt it had all been for naught.

But he did make a pile of money.
