It's a shame he didn't perform at the Super Bowl.

I agree, especially after the wayChristina Aguilera botched it. But Jim looks a little too stiff-hipped, a little too reminiscent of the America our glorious rulers are doing their best to eradicate.

Yeah, he doesn't have enough upside on the "entertainment" side of the field. [IMG] Seriously though, this man sings the national anthem better than pretty much anyone I've ever heard.

I got chills listening to this one, easily the best indeed! Of course, a white man who sings the anthem better than anyone will never, ever be allowed to sing it at the biggest stage such as the Super Bowl. That particular honor is reserved for worthless skanks like Christina Aguilera or some other feminist/affirmative action candidate they'll no doubt find from the bowels of the "entertainment" industry.Edited by: foobar75

This is how the anthem was meant to be sung.

Talented fella...hockey star/athlete & great singer. Yep, that's the proper way to sing the anthem...versus the butchering that the many "R&B"/urban yodelers do to it.

I'm sure this is more of what Francis Scott Key had in mind when he penned it that fateful night in 1814 in Baltimore then what is routinely turned out at these professional sporting contests! Often forgot is the subsequent verses of the Star Spangled Banner, which further tells the awesome tale of our once-great country:

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Wow! Quite a performance and wonderful vocals! Never seen or heard this before. I'm not an American but I loved it.
