The boston red sox are one a the few teams white people can still be proud of. Maily because they are my favorite team i say this. They have produced some of the greatest white athletes such as Yaz, Ted williams, dwight evens, wade boggs, And Rodger clemens. However unlike some other teams they have not created a team entirly of blacks and hispanic. The still Have some great white players. Including Johnny Damon, Curt Schilling, Jason Veritek, Trot Nixon, Kevin Millar, Bill Muller, and Jared Payton.

Mark Bellhorn? The sox also have a lot of class, something that a lot of teams lack. Kevin Millar lacked job security while in a slump, due to Ortiz threatening to take first base, but Millar's class and friendliness kept him popular enough to keep his job. The rest is history. I think Johnny Damon is half white and half Mayan[upon editing later I learned he was half Thai], but is ethnically white regardless of race(as in lineage). Varitek is the heart and soul of the Red Sox. Bill Mueller is one of the best all-around players in the league.Edited by: IceSpeed

Carleton Fisk all the way ,but I only say that because Im a White Sox fan. You had Tom Seaver to, but I don't think he played there that long. I didn't think Johnny Damon was white looks like an inuit to me.

Johnny Damon is half white and half Thai(on his mother's side). Who do you think is the best Red Sox player today?

I overlooked your first post Ice Speed, but I wasn't even close to a correct classification. Johnny Damon is good regardless of what he is though.

Curt Schilling was probably the best Red Sox player last year. Although I really like Doug Mientkiewicz, who is now with the Mets. Just really enjoyed how Doug played the game, and I bet the Twin's are really missing his glove. Tim Wakefield is always fun to watch gotta love those knuckler ballers.

How 'bout those Sox. They just had a good game yesterday and Schilling is getting the start tomorrow. Strong game by Nixon, Millar, Mueller, and Mirabelli.

Sox over Tampa big today. Notice how the media does not discuss David Wells performance as much as David Ortiz's grand slam. I guess I am ok with all the hype around Ortiz. He has been great in the clutch(ALCS). Also, he is a lot nicer than Mo Vaughn. Finally, at least he hustles despite his "body type". However, look how Renteria and Ortiz have overshadowed other strong performances. David Wells on the Sox at this stage of his career kind of reminds me of the Red Sox having David Cone in his final season. Both ex-Yankees with perfect games who end their careers with the Red Sox out of shape. Boston needs a younger staff.
