Quarterback controversy

Apparently some think there is a quarterback controversy brewing in Washington. The Redskins have performed better under Collins, so there is speculation Gibbs will go with the hot hand and leave Collins under center throughout the playoffs.

I told some friends who brought this up that there is no way Campbell loses his job, regardless of how well Collins performs. I guaranteed Campbell would get his job back as soon as he could play.

What say you?

Campbell will get his starting job back. This is very clearly the "correct" decision for a coach to make.

On the positive side, this will be proof of NFL racism blatant enough for the worst of the "The best players are on the field and the coaches just want to win games" Drunk White Fans.

On the other hand, Campbell could pull a Ricky Williams...

If they beat the Cowboys tommorrow and if Collins plays a large role in that victory(no managing the game crapola), I predict that Collins gets to start the wildcard game on account of Cambell being rusty.

Rule 124, section 8, chapter 4 of the NFL rulebook clearly states...

"No player of African heritage shall ever lose his job due to injury, criminal convictions, drug use, buffoonery, poor performance or subversion of authority."

I'd say that clears this issue up.

So well written it could actually be a by-law. I wouldn't even be surprised.

Well done, man.

It's true, but I actually hope Campbell comes back for the playoffs and gets badly beaten (which he would). I just want all of the Redskins' "family" of drunk white fans to dream of what could have been in the playoffs with Collins starting.

Even the biggest moron on this planet could see that Collins can actually use the weapons Daniel Snyder has "purchased" over the past 5 seasons. This should be good. I'm still waiting for Brandon Lloyd to prove he's better than Jimmy Farris

what a joke.

It's Caste System 101 for the coaches, jock-sniffing "journalists" and drunk white fans to all rally around whatever new black QB is currently being given his 5+ years to produce as a starter. I just read online that the Redskins have announced Jason Campbell will resume starter duties once he's healthy. They have to get that fantastic talent back on the field, so he can continue to make what an ESPN jock-sniffer recently termed "significant strides" as a QB. Compare Campbell's pedestrian stats to those of Heath Shuler or Cade McNown after their FIRST partial year as starters. They are quite comparable, except for yards (since Shuler and McNown played in less than half the games, compared to Campbell's almost full season). Yet these two were lambasted by coaches, jock-sniffers in the media and drunk white fans alike for their shoddy play.

In an even more apt comparison, look at the way Eli Manning's far more impressive first-year starter stats were interpreted, compared to Campbell's. Manning continues to be despised by the usual suspects; on today's "Mike and Mike" ESPN show, I heard that tiny cretin "Greenie" refer to Manning's stats this season as "mediocre." Huh? 23 TDs and well over 3000 yards is "mediocre?" Yet, Vince Young's incredibly bad stats (9 TDs and 17 INT) are never referred to as "mediocre?" Double standard doesn't begin to suffice to describe the disparate treatment accorded white and black players.

I agree. Bigunreal is a valued member on this forum. Although his acticulate conspiracy theories are seldom given credit on this board, I'm addicted to reading them!

Keep it up, man!

Back to the QB controversy....I almost hope Campbell would start this weekend and lose badly. Then the "fans" will realize the a guy who hasent played in a decade is better than their black "super QB."

Either way, this could potentially be a big blow to the caste system, at least as constantly-touted black QB's go.

I am really hoping that the Skins win today and Collins has another great game. If Campbell gets healthy this week and is given the nod to play, it will be so fun to watch the Redskins' management squirm to justify putting Campbell back as the starter.

I predict Campbell will remain 'injured' if and until the Redskins make it to the Super Bowl, in which case he will be 'well' and start in the Super Bowl.
