I am positive as well that there has been an increase in site traffic.  I sometimes see 30 or so guests but Colonel Reb told me that some of them are search robots.

CF is getting more and more guests!! Also, TONS of people are reading the Fedor/Rogers thread!

We must continue to put the extra effort in, because people are certainly interested in what we are saying.

The more active the board is, the more traffic to the site. There's a direct correlation. The board has beenbusier for the past half year and page views have more than quadrupled during that time period as a result. And search robots are good too because they also bring new people to the site by way of searches.

There's 31 guests on right now, 7 are search bots, 24 are people. That'sabout the usual ratio.

I see this as a positive message.

Indiana University-PA faculty has the guts to stand up to their loser black president named Tony Atwater and tell him he should hit the road after a no-confidence vote.

"Faculty union and its members have provided a list of grievances, including what they describe as poor decision making, ill-conceived spending practices and a style of leadership they assert alienates those on campus."

It will be interesting to see if he continues to fight to keep his job.

Happy Holidays, Tony Atwater!

Actually the "wives and girlfriends" pic thread in happy hour is what is drawing most of them here, but we'll take it, gladly!

Ron Paul won the '10 CPAC straw poll. This is refreshing because NeoCON "Mutt" Romney had won the past 3 years polls. While I'm sure AIPAC will never allow a non-Zionist pawn to gain the GOP POTUS nod, I'm still glad to see some real (paleo)conservatives gaining strength in CPAC!

Glad you posted this, Dixie. I read about it last night, but didn't think to post it. The media will try to spin it into meaninglessness but it is an encouraging sign.

Waving a chromed semiautomatic pistol, the robber pushed into the building in the bustling Five Points neighborhood of Columbia, S.C., just before 11 p.m. on April 11, 2009. "Gimme what you got!"Â￾ he yelled, his gun hand trembling.
Attorney Jim Corley was one of four people in the room, the lounge area of a 12-step recovery group's meeting hall. "He said, ‘Give me your wallet,'"Â￾ Corley recalled. "So I reached around to my back pocket and gave him what was there."Â￾
Unfortunately for the gunman, later identified as Kayson Helms, 18, of Edison, N.J., that was Corley's tiny Kel-Tec .32, hidden in a wallet holster and loaded with a half-dozen hollow points. Corley fired once into the robber's abdomen. The young man turned. Corley fired twice more, hitting him in the neck and again in the torso. Helms ran into the night and collapsed to die on a railroad embankment 100 feet away.

in a related story, this poll at PMSNBC asks if you'd feel safe around concealed-carry folks. when i took the poll, over 77% felt safe.

I'd seen that before and fully concur that Bird was the best player to ever step on the hardwood!

It's a very nice day in my area.

The sun's rays have some power/intensity, but I like it. The summer air is fresh as well. I wish I had a dog to hang out with.
