There is nothing in the Bible about Christianity requiring a pope anyway. People like Martin Luther, William Tyndale and John Wycliffe realized that, perhaps when they were translating the Latin and Greek Bibles into German and English.

However, in centuries past many Roman Catholics and their popes were truly men of God. Then it went downhill with the 2 (probably Marrano) Borgia popes and the (allegedly homosexual) pope Julius. For example, popes, bishops and cardinals began to raise money by selling phony items to gullible people (such as a pieces of wood that were supposed to be from the cross upon which Christ was crucified) claiming they were authentic. Their actions angered many God-fearing priests, and fueled the Protestant Reformation.

After the Protestant Reformation, the Roman Catholic church cleaned up it's act with the Counter-Reformation.

But the current pope is the very worst ever, he follows the (((Cultural Marxist))) agenda to the letter.

"Dope" Francis is a Leftist and possibly a crypto Jew pushing their demonic agenda. He publicly contradicts the Bible all the time. I hope my CF brothers and sisters realize that salvation is by faith in Christ and not of works or by joining any particular church (Eph. 2:8,9 John 3:16, 5:24, 6:35,47, 20:30,31, Acts 16:31, Rom. 4:4,5, 5:1-10 etc.)!!

That's what happens when you've got your eyes on men instead of Jesus Christ. "They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the created things instead of the creator." Romans 1:25.
The few Catholics that I know of who left Catholicism said they were tired of trying to always do right. It's not about what you do, but about what Christ did for you. Jesus died on the cross as an atonement for all the sins of everyone. "He saved us NOT because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. Titus 3:5 "It is by grace we are saved through faith. Not of yourselves. It is a gift from God. NOT by WORKS, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9.
You're NOT saved by the Pope, your Priest, Rosery Beads, Holy Water, the Virgin Mary, infant Baptism, etc. You're saved through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins. There's no other way.

I agree with DD. I urge my fellow Catholic CFer's to read the Bible and ask God to show you the Truth of Jesus Christ. "I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For EVERYONE who asks receives." Luke 11: 9-10.

The number one problem in any denomination in America is more & more denominations are allowing homosexuals & lesbians being ordained as pastors and hold other positions in the church. John Knox must be turning over in his grave. This definitely was NOT what he had in mind when he guided the Protestant Reformation in Scotland.

Several of my ancestors were devout Baptists, others were Methodists. They would have considered sodomites becoming pastors to be unthinkable.

The Presbyterian Church USA has been accepting lgbt people as pastors since around 2010 or 2011, while the Methodist Church has a practicing lesbian as a Bishop in Utah. The Baptists just removed a church in Washington,D.C. for having two lesbians as pastors.
