Onslaught on Josh McCown

Mccown has been named the starter. He's 6'4", ran in the 4.5's at the 2002 combines, and has a 38" vertical. I've never really got a chance to see him play, but I'll be watching this weekend if possible. My prediction is a good performance followed by Jamarcus Russell panicing and signing a contract, followed with the start of the "Jamarcus countdown".

Adam Schefter, for NFL.com, reports Oakland Raiders QB Josh McCown (finger, foot) injured his finger in the last play of Week 1 and he also suffered a sprained foot. McCown could not grip a football Monday, Sept. 10, and his status for Week 2 is uncertain. There is speculation in the organization that McCown could miss three to four weeks because other quarterbacks who had the same injury miss that amount of time.
Culpepper is eager to play and now Russell signed who i am sure will take over by November. Josh might not see the field much if he does go down for 3 weeks or so.

How bad must Culpepper be if they are leaving McCown in the game with 5 of 9 passing for 12 yards and 2 INT?
UPDATE: He is now 6 of 11 for 58 yards and a TD, along with the 2 INT. He hit Jerry Porter on a 46 yard pass. Edited by: White Shogun
