I thought I'd start a thread on a future 1st rd draft pick. Carpenter is a very good player for Ohio St and with AJ Hawk probably forms the best OLB combo in the nation. Bobby's dad was a HB for Miami U. and then went on to play for 10 seasons in the NFL for the Giants mostly but also the Rams and Oilers. Bobby leads the Big 10 in sacks and is only behind Hawk for tackles on the team. Carpenter was the national defensive player of the week against Mich St 2 weeks ago when he had 4 sacks that game. He's 6'3 255 lbs and runs a legit 4.50 40, which is flying especially for a guy that size. He could probably be a late 1st round pick depending on how the rest of the seasaon goes and the combine and how other LBs do in this LB rich draft class for next year. He would make a great OLB in a 3-4 defense as he is exceptional for a LB in rushing the passer. I really think he'll have a great pro career.

Carpenter leads the Big 10 in sacks with 8 and is second on the team in tackles(behind Hawk of course) and leads the team in tackles for loss with 10.5. Bobby is probably the second best OLB in the country behind Hawk and should work his way into being a 1st RD pick.

Carpenter was rated the top versitile LB by Scouts Inc. for ESPN insider and Hawk was second. Man who paid these guys off to actually praise white athletes. They were actually gloating about Hawk and Carpenter saying they are the best duo in the country. Well its about time beacuse I've been saying this for months. Carpenter is setting himself up nicely for a 1st RD pick next April.

Carpenter was named 3rd team All American by the AP, he did finish the season with 8 sacks and over 80 tackles. Now hopefully that ankle will heal fast and Bobby will be a 1st Rd pick.
