Here's a comparison for those who asked about it. The SEC and Big 10 have the following number of white players by position. Remember, the SEC has 12 teams and the Big 10 has 11. I am giving the benefit of the doubt to some players who may not end up starting, but who are competing for it. Even considering the differences in demographics between these areas, the differences are still striking.

Offense SEC Big 10
QB5......10
RB2.......0
FB1.......6
WR1.......3
TE5.......7
LT5.......7
LG7.......8
C9......10
RG4......11
RT6......11

Defense
DT4.......12
DE3........4
NG1........1
LB3.......17
S1........5
CB1........0

That's why every year the Big Ten plays a bowl "road game" often in SEC territory and when they lose it's always the same refrain: "The BIG TEN has to get faster!!!" Translation: BLACKER But whenever the BIG TEN has a great bowl season (a couple of years ago they were like 5-1) nobody ever says: the other conferences have to get smarter*.

Ohio State has 3 of those 17 LBs and they are the most unbelievable collection of players I have ever seen at LB. Hawk will be a top 10 pick next year. While OLB Bobby Carpenter could go from late 1st round to 2nd round depending on what type of season he has this year. MLB Anthony Schegel will probably go in round 3. Thats pretty good your whole LB corps going in the first day of the draft.
