I have almost just stopped caring about this country anymore also. As you have said the gov't doesn't care about white people. They don't care about its workers. All the gov't is interested in are minorities and foreigners and doing everything they can to 'globalize" the economy.

I feel like this country is like a house whose door has been left wide open and the whole neighborhood just comes in and eats the food and watches the tv without even asking and then they get upset when you ask them what they are doing in your house. Then they take your job, while they still get to live in your house.

I continue to remain a patriot, but the country I respect and root for no longer exists. When I think of America, I think of the nation from 1776-1960. That was the US that became an industrial, economic, and political powerhouse, built by brave men who also fought in numerious wars (and won all of them). We didn't have debt that was 90% of the total GDP.

The country was 90% white (of European origin), there was no illegal immigration, no feminism, no cultural marxism, no diversity and sensitivity programs, no homosexual mafia trying to destroy the traditional family and moral structure of society, no affirmative action in sports or elsewhere in life. Although there was some jewish influence in various areas, it was but a fraction of what it is today.

I don't think life was perfect by any stretch, but things were magnitudes better than what's happening today. Whenever I watch a classic movie from the 40s and 50s, I'm always filled with sadness and also envy at the same time. I wish there was some way to erase the last 50 years.

If "America" is a certain people, I still consider "Americans" my people. I still love and value my people. Patriotism is essentially love for, an loyalty to, one's own folk.

The Third Worlders who live among us are not my people. The government that purports to represent us can make them citizens, but it cannot make them us. They are not "Americans," except by the liberal/neo-con definition, which is a complete corruption.

Forget government! There is nothing pro-American about the thieves who swindle and exploit us. Those in DC (and in our state capitols) who are not outright thugs are at least enablers of the thugs. They sell-out their fellow Americans for the privilege of feeling important and empowered by association with government power. I know many good people who work for government; I don't regard them as The Enemy, but they do work for and prop up The Enemy.

As for how this relates to the NYC (I refuse to use the terms "Ground Zero" or "9-11") Mosque, I feel almost no kinship with NYC. There are a few good people there, a small percentage, but they are strangers in that reeking polyglot. Therefore, I feel little or no emotional connection to the great mosque controversy. Those Muslims should not even be allowed to live within our borders! So, no, if they were not here, it is obvious they could not build yet another mosque. But my reasoning differs from that of the average Faux News groupie in this regard:

1. I do not consider any particular part of NYC "hallowed ground." If you do, fine.

2. I do not accept the neo-con proposition that "Muslim extremists attacked America because they hate us." Not exactly, anyway. Those men who hijacked aircraft and flew them into buildings were wrong for killing innocents, but were rightly upset with the DC-based government that has killed so many of their innocents, and who has for decades bullied them and their nations. Americans have a right to be angered at the crimes that took place on Sept 11, 2001, but some of that anger MUST be directed toward DC's foreign policy, which provoked the blowback.

3. Regarding Middle Eastern affairs, I have no dog in that contest. I am neither anti-Israel, nor pro-Israel. Even if I did favor one side over the other(s), I would not expect my fellow Americans to underwrite my side with their confiscated tax dollars. The whole pissing match between Jews and Muslims should be kept outside America. It is not our pissing match.

The attachment I feel toward America is experienced on cross country drives, on Little League ballfields, at county fairs in certain places, wherever real Americans are found. As other posters indicated, I do nonetheless shake my head at those real Americans who believe The Flag is sacrosanct, who recite The Pledge like zombies, who look at government as legitimate, even authoritative. But they are the victims, not the perps. I hate the perps!Edited by: Deus Vult

Good dialog here gentlemen. I was also a quasi-NeoCON(ed), but then I started researching globalism & the Elite/PTB behind the puppets. I'm still patriotic...in the sense of my pride, respect for the Republic's founders & the way they designed/meant our nation to be. I would agree with FB75's statement of support the America of 1776-1960. By the mid-late 60's, the (Elite supported) "cultural revolution" & "civil rights" (bowel) movement began the warp-speed destruction of our (once) great nation. To me, the flag (especially the older ones) represents the U.S.A as meant/created by the Founding Fathers.

My "patriotism"Â￾ is a worldwide brotherhood that transcends the many boundaries, flags, cultures, and languages of the only real men to ever inhabit planet earth, white men.

America, in and of itself, means absolutely nothing to me personally.I would feel the exact same way even if 100% of American citizens were white men, women and children. As long as other locations around the world are inhabited by whites, no single nation should be more "exceptional"Â￾ than any other.

Generally speaking, every other race has fully accepted the theory I've presented above. Contrast the outlook of non-whites with the fact that modern white "men"Â￾ are far more interested in supporting the all-black "brotherhood"Â￾ of the NFL and NBA than of their own DNA. Yeah, it's quite stomach-turning.

Coming from a bi-lingual home in which my fraternal and maternal grandparents both came to America from Germany, my "loyalty"Â￾ to that nation, if any, would be the strongest.

I feel as though all whites are created equal.

They can build a million mosques in the U.S., but Americans will never embrace the stone age religion. Americans are too fat and lazy; addicted to internet porn, reality t.v., fast food and sports. The only reason Islam thrives in the Middle East in the 3rd world is because the people don't know any better. Put a hot dog stand and a titty bar across the street from the mosque and see who gets more business.

Yeah give'em Sneakers with lights in them and cell phones that make pancakes. That'll shut all them up.
