Well it looks as though Notre Dame will be without any white skill players
sometime in the near future, with the exception of at the TE spot. They
are now recruiting all of the best black athletes in the nation. Or at least
those that are highly touted.

I knew this might happen. Charlie Weiss doesnt think that white athletes
can play. He didnt want to start "the Shark" but ended up doing so when
Rhema got injured. Now jeff is one of the best recievors in the nation.

So now Weiss will fill his roster with the most hightly reguarded blacks
beacuse everyone else is telling him that they are indeed the best. He will
not recruit the athletes that are putting up the best numbers but instead
those that are the best in some old scouts opinion.

Weiss is not unorthodox.

I wouldn't go that far as saying ND isn't trying to gather talented and skilled whites. Last years class included two great white receivers and the best TE in the nation. This year a player by the name of Ragone is one of the best tightends in the nation with an unbelieveable 4.45 time. He will probably be utilized in a wide variety of positions other than TE. A couple of white recievers chose other schools over ND which they had offered. Sukay is a wr who spurned ND and went to Penn State. Weis also has recruited some very talented rbs but will probably switch to db or linebacker. However, Weis recently stated that one of the athletes will be given a look at rb. Furthermore, the class of 2008 has some great white skilled players that are being heavily recruited by Weis. I firmly believe that Weis recruits the very best and will continue to keep bringing in our people. With that being said, ND will go after the top players in the nation. Reality dictates that "some" of those players will not be white. Sorry for the rambling.

Not true OC

We have at WR

Robby Paris..(spelling)? a 6'4 Shark Clone...

Barry Gallup ...an absolute speed freak.....

At Tightend

Konrad Reuland who will replace Carlson as Starter next year...The guy was in major demand from USC....Hes a far better athlete than Carlson and Fasano as well
smiley32.gif
Future First rounder for sure...

And then theresMike Ragone... 4.45 40 Metre Time.... hands like glue...God help whoever has to cover him......This guy is going to reveolutionise the TE position

at Running Back

Luke Schmidt

Hasnt seen much action yet,but he will get playing time...next year alongside Aldridge and Prince at RB...

Not to mention Physical Freak RBSteve Pasokerz(again spelling??) has given ND a vebal from this class. He will be in contention at RB because it doesnt look likely that the Irish are going to get a verbal from a "higher" ranked black RB in this class.

Funny story, in a JV game when I was a freshman, I was on the line. A Belmont Hill kid rushes in blitzing from LB and knocks both me and the center over. Later, I hear the other teams coaches cheering "Gallup!". Until I read about him in the paper about a year later when he started on the varsity, I thought it was one of their audibles or something. Fastest kid I've ever seen.

God, I miss the Boston area football. And especially the Hockey.Edited by: Freedom

I was also under the impression ND had a solid white recuiting base as well. Are the above guys listed going to be freshman next year? Casey Clausen will probbaly become the most celebrated college qb ever.

Above you see the skill players that Weiss has brought into Notre Dame over the last 18 months. And yes, I know, the stars mean nothing.

Here you see that Notre Dame will probable not start a white WR, RB, or DB after their current stars move on.

Yahh it is nice that Notre Dame has some good white athletic tallent, but remember. Weiss did not start Jeff beause he wanted to, he started Jeff because Rhema go hurt. Weiss was FORCED to start Jeff.

If one of those four young white skill players really do get the start; I will be very supprised.

And dont mention the incomming QB Clausen. Because most teams have a white quarterback anyways. Notre Dame will soon be of no interest to us.

Duval Kamara and Greg Little are good players no doubt and will start in the near future...at WR and possibely Safety respectabely

Gary Gray has only 4.7 speed not 4.5...he will not be a great college corner,i can see him switch to safety.

Pasokrz will be an absolute beast.......he will be an all american at whatever position he plays at.

As of Class 2006

Aldridge will be the starter at running backnext year

Brown,Gaines,Gordon are buried in the depth chart...these guys wont play much in their career.

McNeil will be a special Cornerback, theres no point saying otherwise...

Richard Jackson does not have 4.4 speed, he has 4.7 speed...Hes decent nothing spectacular

Prince is a livewire and will be a star...

West is a good kick returner...

Walls will start at Cornerback.in the near future...

Gallup and Paris are right in the mix up to replace McKnight and Shark when they leave...they have every chance.

Schmidt will be a greatRB for ND...

Your use of the term "skill" players to try and have a gois laughable in my opinion,You used that because you knew ND will have a White QB,White TE and all White Offensive Line...

John Ryan,Justin Trattou andat Defensive end, Patrick Kuntz at D Tackle amonst others... and 3 or 4 athletic white linebackers competing next year in Vernaglia,Steve Quinn and Kevin Smith...Along with Kyle McCarthy who is 2nd in the depth chart at one of the safety spots...and maybe Pasokrz at safety as well.

we have White Players fighting for every position on the field except for Cornerback.......

It really is sad to see the hate so many White College Football Fans have for Notre Dame Football.

It is a mistake, in my opinion, to predict who will be what in the future. They might start, and they might not. Until the 2007 season gets going, its all mere speculation. With that said, Weiss started The Shark because he is the best player, not because McKnight was hurt. Jeff was a star last year at Notre Dame, and McNight was barely in the picture. Y'all are getting way to serious with the speculation. Just hope for the best and let it unfold. All the speculation in the world won't do anything to change the racial make-up of the starters.

WR Robbie Parris will be a starter during some point in his Notre Dame career. He was just too good in high school to not be starting one day in college.

Harrison Smith has signed with ND. He runs the 40 in 4.38... Making him the
fastest recruit... He is listed as an athlete but safety may be his primary
position.

With this 8 of ND's 16 recruits so far are white. This being despite the fact
that the class includes no kickers, only one is a QB, and only three offensive
linemen. Two of the three offensive linemen are white. The rest of the classs
includes skill players or defensive linemen of sorts.

For further info go to rivals.com search Notre Dame 2007.

I really am starting to like Charlie Weis. He gives white players a fair shake it seems to me, no matter what the postion is. Although I would like to see Kyle McCarthy being given a shot at CB.

A top Offensive Lineman just signed with Notre Dame. This means 9 of 17 incomming freshman are now white. Apparently about 10 starting spots will be up for grabs come next season..... This could get interesting.

Cool stuff! They should end up with 20 or more freshmen, so keep us aware of any other signings, OC.

Darius Walker has declared for the draft.. maybe this frees up a linebacker spot for a white player since Travis Thomas who seen a lot of time at LB switched over to defense before the season.

*edit* or maybe help persuade Weis to keep recuit Steve Paskorz at halfback since the position will now need some depth, and give Steve a shot to start down the road.Edited by: ocaamikedm11

Paskorz was a big-time high school running back, who if he was black would have been coveted by any number of I-A programs as a tailback.Whether Weis uses Paskorz as a running back or consigns him to the more"racially correct" position of linebackerwill be a huge test ofhow fair he is towardwhite players. Until now he has mostly been making the best of Ty Willingham's recruiting classes. Beginning in '07 he has the opportunity to really put his stamp on Notre Dame.

It seems like Willingham did recruit white players, such as Quinn, Samardizja and Zbikowski..does anyone know what his classes were like? So far, I'm impressed with Weis but only comparisons I have are to other elite 1A teams, who typically are not known for recruiting whites. How are Weis' classes compared to Willinghams?

Anouther commit. Chris Little, offensive lineman. It appears that the OL positions are completely up for grabs over there at Notre Dame next year. Some are black some are white.

These are the OL comming in next year. According to height speed and weight. White players have an **

**Matt Romie 6'6" 285 5.2
**Andrew Nuss 6'5" 290 5.1
**Taylor Dever 6'6" 289 5.2
Chris Little 6'5" 342 5.0
Emeka Nwankow 6'3" 285 5.34

As for current Notre Dame freshman......

**Matt Carufel 6'5" 280 5.3
**Eric Olsen 6'5" 300 5.1
**Sam Young 6'8" 302 4.9
**Daniel Wanger 6'4" 280 5.2
**Bartly Webb 6'7" 290 5.4
Chris Stewart 6'5" 6'5" 5.4

Notre Dame Sophmores......
**Paul Duncan 6'6" 280
**Micheal Turkovich 6'7" 282

Juniors....
**Chauncey Incarnato 6'6" 280
**John Kadous 6'7" 310

Seniors....
Ryan Harris 6'5" 255
**John Sullivan 6'4" 270 (will return)

2006 starters.....
RT.... Sam Young (freshman)
RG.... Bob Morton 6'4 292 (5th yr. Will NOT return)
C..... John Sullivan 6'4" 298 (will return)
LG.... Dan Santucci 6'4" 290 (5th yr. will NOT return)
LT.... Ryan Harris 6'5" 292 (will NOT return)

Second String....

RT.... Marcus Freeman (5th yr. Will NOT return)
RG.... Paul Duncan (sophomore)
C...............?
LG.... Eric Olsen (freshman
LT.... Michael Turkovich (sophmore)

The Offensive Line is up for grabs as 3 of the 5 starters will not return. Moreover, returning senior John Sullivan may find his job in jepordy as well. Freshman Sam Young appears to have SOME job security.

The Notre Dame underclassmen are much larger, taller and faster then the starters of 2006. Hopefully all problems at the offensive line will be rectified.

There is a possiblity here for an all white offensive line. This is very unusual in college football despite the fact that whites make up the majority of American's population.

Ohio State is pretty good at usually having an all white o-line as evidenced by this year.

Concerning ND's offensive line next year
I only know most of thes eguys by reputation,i get my information from those in the know who have watched practices and talked to players etc

Sam Young barring injury is a lock at Left Tackle...
Daniel Wenger is extremely highly rated at Centre by Charlie Weis who contemplated starting him as a freshman at Center....

Matt Carufel is reckoned to be an elite Guard prospect, people in the know think he will be the best Offensive lineman on this team even better than Sam Young.... Pencil him in at LG...and Forget about that position for 3/4 years.

RG will be up between Eric Olsen and Chris Stewart who is black...Olsen is also reckoned to be a class act...Stewart is the typical black sumo sized lineman 340-360 pounds The loser of this battle will most likely start at Defensive Tackle though as both are very versitile

Right Tackle will be between Juniors Michael Turkovich and Paul Duncan....i Think Duncan is the most likely starter....
4 out of 5 starters will definetely white....
the 5th is up for grabs.
