Fitzpatrick attempted to prove me wrong with a nice strike to an affeletic receiver to get them in the red zone......but the affelet was stripped of the ball. Unacceptable. That blunder caused the Texans the game. Ugh!

I don't think O'Brien will switch QBs until they are totally out of the playoff picture. Fitzpatrick is the middle of the road starter but after seeing Austin Davis do well as an UDFA/Journeyman in St. Louis I wish O'Brien would just put either Mallet or Tom Savage in there.

I forgot they had Mallet, he should be starting , he has Nfl starter potential. Since they traded for him, they should want to start him at some point, when he was drafted, he had a chance to be a starter imo. Pats had him the highest rated qb in the draft, and they know a little something about qbs, even got Hoyer as an UDFA and he is pretty decent especially for an UDFA.

Skipping around the web a bit, I noticed an article that says something about "Brett Keisel outplays JJ Watt". Now I'm not going to argue whether that's true or not, but just look at the implications. The two BEST defenders on the field Monday were Keisel for the Crawfords and Watt for the Texans. At a position (D-line) where a white player is a rarity, the two best on the field were white.

Guys like keisel and Smith laid the groundwork for a guy like Watt yo come out and be a beast at that 3-4 end. I'm glad I've been hearing a lot of praise for them lately. Better late than never.

Keisel was an unrestricted free agent after last season and wanted to play one final season with Pittsburgh. Even though the local media and many of the DWFs were hoping he would be signed, the Crawfords had no interest in him -- until the Cardinals started talking to him in August after Darnell Dockett was lost for the year with an injury. The Crawfords then suddenly decided they wanted Keisel back. At 36 he is still their second best defensive player, after Lawrence Timmons, but will be the last White defensive player on the team as long as the Tomlin-Colbert is in place.
