Gregory started tonight, giving the Chargers the ultra-rare two starting white safeties backfield

Oh yes, after 3 quarters the afflete of the future is 9/13 for an eye-popping 68 yards and aworld beating2 INTs! In fact, he's playing so good, they aren't even having to use him right now! They put Andrew Walter in so he can get some NFL stats as they coast to another easy moral victory! Edited by: Colonel_Reb

I remember when that was standard. Anderson and Scott(Miami), Waters and Harris for Dallas and other white combos from that era. As I young boy back then I literally thought that that was a white position..... Edited by: white is right

During the 1960's, the complaint was made that blacks were not allowed to play safety because it was a position that required high intelligence.

Did anyone else notice the Caste treatment that Collinsworth was giving Fargas???

"Not athletic, gives 100%..."

must think Fargas is white.

I was thinking the same thing. I heard it few times from another team of announcers doing the Raiders game. They described him as the teams "Blue Collar Worker" and as a "Lunch Pail Guy". My solution is to end the ambiguous nature of his ethnic background is to have a 70's funk track play in the background of the broadcast and to show a photo of his dad saying "Can you dig it." If the commentary is still the same then it might be genuine..

I always considered Fargas a caste buster because he is more white and hispanic than black just look at him, and it is obvious that his features, facial structure and nose make him look more white than black. His father is a black hispanic much different than Obama's daddy a fresh off the boat african. Now take a look at Obama then look at Fargas do you see a big difference I do. So I think we should include him however like always I'll probably be over ruled. This is just my 2 cents worth to the discussion. I say he is a caste buster.

Leonardfan we shouldn't complain because he has an "afflete" throwing him the ball. After all Jamarcus Russell isn't overweight he's just solid muscle.

Although I do appreciate your desire for unity amongst the folk, I'm not aware of a panel of ethnicity judges here. I say root for who you like, others may disagree but that shouldn't effect whether you choose to cheer for someone or not unless you're genuinely convinced by their reasoning. For instance, I can't stand Brett Favre and no amount of cheerleading here has changed my mind.

Fargas coming out of college was a speed burner, a legit 4.4 guy. The issue with him was always durability yet he's now described in terms reserved for white RBs.

Kevin Curtis out with a concussion. Leaves with two receptions for 42 yards, one of them a great grab over the middle. Hopefully he'll be back next week.

Tollefson and Blackburn both seeing considerable time for the Giants defense. Blackburn is a really talented athlete, being in on both running and passing downs. Definitely starting-calibur.

Kyel Eckel active, but with no carries as Westbrook appears to be 100%. Disappointing, but understandable.Edited by: PhillyBirds

Anyone know if Matt Jones is playing today? I see he has no catches and Garrard is 3 out 10.

he's playing.

Olsen had a TD grab and Shockey is playing well so far, too bad about Kevin Curtis, he looked real good.

PS Gonzalez and Clark have 1 TD a piece, Eckel just got his first carryEdited by: backrow
