Thought I'd get this thread started. Thursday night's matchup looks to be very watchable, with 10 starters for Green Bay and 6 for the Vikings. Here's to Sewerwater getting carted off the field and Ponder getting a chance. And a Packers' win. :heh:

Also hoping Audie Cole, Sendejo and Jeff Janis see the field.

I can not be the only person who is already tired of seeing Bridgewater's mother on television between every snap. She showed up at Louisville's home opener with a custom made shirt, making sure everyone knew who she was. The cameras were happy to oblige. Her "look at me" antics are tired. Her son was not even playing for Louisville this year but, she could not pass up the chance upstage the current group of players.

Last week the FOX cameras showed more footage of her than either head coach. Is there any other big name NFL QB who's mother would be so recognizable? Maybe she is trying to position herself for a chunky soup commercial. I would advise her to seek that opportunity quickly as her son's career may not last nearly as long as the DWF's think. Of course we all know the media will prolong his time as much as they can.

DWF's in Minnesota are certain they have found themselves a QB. A 300 yard and zero TD pass performance vs. a very poor defense was enough to convince them. If Bridgewater can manage to avoid being carted off the field each week, we will see how he performs against some of the better defenses in the league.

Trust me, you're not.

Minnesota liberals wuv their pweshus blacks, whether it's Bridgewater or a horde of Somali immigrants. Just as long as those immigrants only infest the neighborhoods of those other white people, of course.

The NFL’s leading receiver, Jordy Nelson, has always had nice games against Minnesota. In the 6 games against the Vikings since his “breakout” campaign in 2011, Nelson has compiled 30 catches, 393 yards, and 5 TD’s.

Let’s hope our most valuable white star can shine tonight for his home crowd, in front of a national audience...

Reports are saying that "Egghead Teddy" is a game time decision with the Vikings leaning towards resting him. If Ponder starts, he needs to capitalize, especially against a weak Packers defense.

I didn't realize til now that Jeff Janis was active for last weeks game. With Boykins out again, he'll be the 4th receiver. The Packers run a 3 receiver set more than any other personnel group this year, so one would imagine Janis would have to come in to spell one of the receivers every so often? Or maybe Adams or Cobb could "tweek" something....

An injury or a very poor game by Jasper Brinkley would also be a plus in this game. Overall a good watch for Thursday night.

Bill Cowher just said Christian Ponder "much more athletic than Teddy Bridgewater."

And he is. Sewerwater was a pure pocket qb at Louisville and not much of a scrambler. Ponder is like Locker with the Titans. They just have to play better and execute. Even if Ponder were to have a good game tonight, Sewerwater will still be selected to start over him. At least Ponder can show the league he could still start. Big games by Ponder, Nelson and Rodgers would get this week off to a good start.

Ponder is a good player who's had a history of injuries which have kept him down.

The DFWs act as if he's nothing but that's not true. If it weren't for the injuries he would be a solid starting quarterback.

8/11 white starters on offense for GB, although I'm not sure about Bakhtari, has a Middle Eastern look.

Completely unrelated but I hate it that Sims says "Ja-imm" over 100 times a night.
Riggins I appreciate your posts but dude for the love of everything pure in this world, stating you hope to see X white player in Y game is kind of the goal around here. We all want that and also know that you want the white guys.

Nelson catches a 66 yard bomb for a TD! He was wide open by a large margin. He showed his great athleticism on that play.

Rodgers looking sharp.

Jordy Nelson with the 66 yard TD reception!!! Only minor negative was Harrison Smith was the one giving chase...no swivel hipped CB's to be found...

BTW JJ Watt is the NFL's Top Player in the NFL...Regardless of position!

Ponder throws an absolute beauty 35 yards down field. Of course his negro WR lets it slip through his affletic butterfingers.

We need Jordy to have another huge game tonight. He is off to a great start with that long td catch.

Coming into this weekend, Jordy Nelson is number 1 in the whole nfl in receiving yards. Keep it up Jordy.

Question for the trivia guys here at the board. Who was the last white guy to lead the nfl in receiving? Not
their conference but the entire nfl for a season?

I don't think of that as a negative. I think of it as something I want to see more of. White wide receivers going up against white defensive backs, and may the best man win.

Back to back INTs for Ponder. He's a bad QB, no need to sugarcoat it or defend it, honestly.

Hard for me to defend Ponder. He made a bad throw on his 2nd int. First int was just bad luck arm hit on throw.

Welker was so close in 2011 only needed like a 150 or so more yards to beat Calvin Jonson, did lead for receptions though. Also second in 2009 to andre johnson would sure be nice if Nelson holds up the pace. I guess Steve Largent, maybe

His career has definitely taken a nosedive. Very disappointing. Too inconsistent. Dwf's are coming down hard on him saying how much better Sewerwater is. They are in for a surprise.
