Valuev fights this Saturday in Germany for the Heavyweight Championship of the World. His oppenent will be John Ruiz. This will be a tough fight because Ruiz has always been a dirty fighter. He clutches, grabs, low blows and rabbit punches.I hope Valuev is ready for anything.Valuev has a perfect record. This is what he has been waiting for!I see him winning in a close decision becaue John will be running from him the whole fight.Good luck to Valuev.Bring the belt home to Europe.

I hope Valuev wins!! Sultan Ibragimov fights Lance Whitaker on Dec 15th. Also on that card is middleweight John Duddy and young heavyweight Michael Marrone.
Vladimir Virchis won a UD over Michael Sprott tonight. Virchis is 6'4 242. Egon Roth a young German also won tonight. Roth is 6'6 241.Virchis is 20-0 and Roth is 13-0.
The Superfight between Marciano and Ali is for sale for $13.99 on the Amazon website. It will be released on Dec 26,2005. I got that information from Cyberboxingzone.com.
Hopefully both Valuev and Ibragimov will win. I think Byrd is ducking Wlad and Rahman is ducking Maskaev, remember both Wlad and Oleg have whipped these guys before.

I think Valuev can do it. But why no American TV coverage? Can you name the last heavyweight title fight not to be shown on TV? It seems the girlyboys who run HBO and Showtime don't wan't heavyweight title fights to be seen if they don't involve at least one overrated black fighter.

I don't know why there is no U.S. television coverage, you may be right the PC boys really can't stand the fact that Eastern European fighters have taken boxing by storm. You mentioned overrated black fighters. How about Audley Harrison one of there black hopes who lost to Danny Williams a few days ago, this is the same Danny Williams who KO'd Mike Tyson and the very same Danny Williams who Vitali almost beat to death a year ago. Vitali never got credit for being a great fighter.

To be honest I think Vitali could have been great but he was often injured and did not fight a very busy schedule. Danny Wiilams was his only defense of the title.

They are showing the Valuev-Ruiz fight free of charge in Germany, too.

Valuev really needs a solid performance in this fight to create a buzz or else he will be looked at by the no-nothings out there as a big white Russian clown.Valuev needs to use his reach advantage to keep Ruiz from tying him up,keep pecking away with the jab and drop the right hand in there, get John's respect early by showing his power.Don't forget the intimidation factor of this fight,Valuev is a load and Ruiz knows it.If it goes the distance Valuev could get the nod as has gone 12 before and he is fighting on his hometurf, but I'm looking at that spectacular early KO.

Good quality clips! The great thing about Valuev is that he is such a beast. The other races have been offering up the mutant members of their people as boxers for generations. With good results for them.

It is about time that white poeple showcase our physical freaks as an example of what we have to offer. I have always felt that the best of our athletes were shunted aside as our culture has always valued mental prowress over physical ability. I remember plently of kids from my old neighborhood that were strong as oxes, fast as horses, or just plain big and brutal. There was no outlet for them as culture did not direct them to sports but to a life of crime and drugs where their physical talents led them to jail and death instead of fame and glory.

Afterviewing the Valuev clips I came away unimpressed. Yes, for a big man heis fairly well coordinated, but I don't see him advancing much further. Povetkin looks quicker and has good power. He has a brighter future.

There was a feature on Valuev on aol today and it got some attention on the sports talk shows. Though Valuev has never fought on U.S. TV this will help him get some name recognition.

Valuev and Beck had their public workouts for their fight on Saturday. Valuev looked fit and powerful. Beck looked like he trained on jerk pork and Jamaican beer.........

No American TV again for this heavyweight championship fight. Valuev will most likely KO the hapless Jamaican (Owen Beck). But nobody (save boxing fans) will know about it and Joe Sixpack will continue thinking Mike Tyson is still heavyweight champ.

As Joe Kowalski notes in his columns, whites dominate boxing but few realize this because the white stars are not often featured on TV. The boxing authorities promote these great black hypes like Tarver and James Toney when the best fighters have names like Hatton, Calzaghe, Kessler and Karmazin.

SPOILER ALERT</font>

Valuev KO'd Beck in three.

Valuev outpointed Beck in round one.

He put Beck on the canvas in round two. Beck was saved by the bell.

And knocked him out in round three. Edited by: White Shogun

He at least proved that he is legit with this win. Beck sucks but he did make Monte Barrett work hard to beat him. People underestimate Vauev because of his looks and size. But he will be handful for all of the top heavies even a Wlad.....

"In the second round, what looked like a counter (yes, a counter) right, landed on Beck before he could finish throwing his punch. The Jamaican went down mid throw, looking like he had been shot by a tranquilizer dart."

An awesome quote from eastside's article.

You can go to www.youtube.com and watch clips from some of Valuev's fights (search Valuev). I'd never seen him fight--he's much more agile than I expected. He could be a force--he's one scary dude. Theres also some good Klitschko clips. Check it out
