My Kind of Diet

    This diet is definitely the way to go. I've been on the Paleolithic diet with a few modifications for over a year; I've lost 25 pounds while becoming stronger and faster. I posted a version of it under DIET in the Lifestyle Section. However, I do think that eating ground foods like potatoes and rice in appropriate amounts based on your activity level can be beneficial. I also include 100 percent whole-wheat pasta and oatmeal, both of which have plenty of fiber. The problem with modern man's "grains" is that they have been stripped of their fiber.

    Fiber is key my friends. When you can't "go" nothing else matters. If people were to eat diets like these and get rid of empty carbs then they would be a lot better off and lighter too.

    Blacks in this country are most commonly raised on a crude version of this diet. Their protein intake is approximately 100% greater than "recomended".

    Food for thought.

    Don, have you still kept this diet? It's pretty good but I like to eat some whole grains. It's necessary pre-workout. I eat around 160 grams of protein a day. It keeps me full and protects muscle mass.

    I lift 6 days a week alternating muscles obviously. For anyone that lifts, is it better to eat high protein food(buffalo wings ranch)s on my cheat day?

    The link to the article still works. I never went on it specifically but generally am an unabashed carnivore.

    I've been thinking about giving this diet a try (fairly soon). It sounds very effective, especially for us who train/work-out, etc. Deep-sixin' (processed) sugar is always a solid idea for any diet. The same can be said of (added) salt. I thought of using a hybrid of the "caveman" & zone diet(s). I'll probably get started here next week. Procrastination...yes I know, but the wife & I are going to a concert this weekend.[​IMG]

    I don't know if meat is so good but fish defintely is good and has high protein too.People in Iceland eat plenty of fish and are healthier and stronger then others on average and this is not totally genetic I think
