The average sports annoncer does a terreble job. Its their job to know about the teams in the game their calling but most don't know anything about either team. The play by play annoncer's constentley miss the identity of the people in the game. The analist give long winded speeches and don't no what is going on. Basicaly the anoncers act like they have never seen the two teams play before. Of coarse they racialy stereotype white players at every chance but I dont think I have to go into that on this web site.

The ones who rankle me are the 3rd tier, pencil-necked sports geeks who cast stones at their superiors. One idiot on Fox radio last evening held forth on how Troy Aikman should not have been voted into the NFL Hall of Fame. He made his argument on the basis of stats. Anyone who remembers Troy as QB of those great Dallas teams remembers that Troy ran a ball-control offense, designed to eat clock and produce eventual points. His mission was to keep the other teams defense on the field, and his defense off the field. He threw short passes and mixed in the run. He did what it took to win, not pad his stats.

But this little dickhead cut off dissent from callers. How powerful they are when they control the mics.

I agree as well. Half the time they have to correct their mistakes in spotting "that's #87 <name>, wait, that's actually <2ndname>".

i wonder if the problem is that all the professional sports leagues are so large. You only see an opposing team at most a few time. You hardly know the teams or the players.

Its their job and their getting paid pretty well. They can't recognize the players in the game, but I can watching at home on a blury tv.Edited by: white tornado
