Remember some of these nearly all-white teams or fairly white friendly mid majors from the past? That we could always count on mid major cinderellas to be mostly white. Now, however, for a lot of these teams, success has got them into a "more athletic mode of thinking." Some teams like Davidson, and Vermont remain nearly all-white despite success, and I think South Dakota St. will too, but these teams I listed thought they would have continued success if they got "more athletic". Well, a good portion of these teams flat out suck right now due to their recruiting.

Holy Cross- They started 5 whites a few years ago. They start 3 blacks and two whites to my knowledge right now. Now they aren't even sniffing getting to the NCAA Tourney.

Drake- I remember when they made the Tournament a few years ago with a mostly white lineup. Now? Well, they start 4 blacks a majority of the time. Guess what? They suck now.

Cornell Big Red- 2010 5 whites started 2012 - 2-3 whites start, 5 play total.

St. Mary's Gaels- 2010 5 whites started, only 1 black on entire team. 2012- 2 whites start, 4 whites play total. Sad to see this team go this black that fast.

Northern Iowa Panthers- 2010 4 whites started, 2012 4 whites start, but most recent recruiting class has 4 out of team's 5 black players. Expect Northern Iowa to be really dark in 1-2 years.

Gonzaga- We all know the story for the Zags, they're down to one white starter, but I think in 1-2 years the Zags will be starting 3 whites again. I hope Elias Harris leaves after this year along with Sacre.

Butler- Started 2 whites most of the year, but Andrew Smith was the only guy who got consistent playing time. With Rotnei Clarke eligible next year and a great recruit in Kellan Dunham coming in, the Bulldogs should be a bit whiter next year. How'd using four blacks most of the time work out for Butler? Well, the two-time national runners up missed the Tournament, mostly due to their black players screwing up time after time.

I know Jimmy mentioned UC Santa Clara as a team that used to play all-white lineups. Guess what? Only one white even see the court for them any more. Guess what? They suck now too.

I know this doesn't apply to all mid-majors, but I figured I'd just take a look at a couple of them that we used to cheer for when they were in the NCAA Tournament.
