An ESPN report says that Matt will be the number 2 QB this week. I don't know how this will affect his time as a WR. Should make for an interesting day anyway.

Well that's great, except that Quinn Gray could go 0-25 with 20 interceptions and they still wouldn't insert Jones in as QB. He'd also be set up for failure; every incompletion would be scrutinized by the lame, wanna-be comedians who masquerade as sports "journalists." The bottom line is- Jones is their best athlete, period. He should be starting somewhere, and they should be building the team around his obvious skills. Edited by: bigunreal

Jones active, as a WR

Jones expected to be active

Wide receiver Matt Jones should be active Sunday when the Jaguars visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has played in four games, logging eight catches for 74 yards.

Jones was listed as the No. 3 quarterback Monday night because the Jaguars wanted to activate nine defensive linemen against the Indianapolis Colts.

"I don't anticipate needing nine d-linemen this week," Del Rio said. "We hope to get through the week healthy and then we'll be able to have all our receivers out there [against the Bucs]."

Jags signed Todd Bouman to be a backup QB.
