The Bucs decided to sign all-time great Yamon Figurs rather than Jones. Nothing to see here, move along.

Actually i'm glad Tampa didn't sign him because repeating his Jacksonville experience sounds even worse than the pergatory he's in now.

I'm pulling for the Jets first. The Bears would be my second choice. I always wished my Steelers would get a Matt Jones type. They treated Danny Farmer like crap though. Matt is probably better off going to another team.

We keep hearing of supposed interest, but none of these spineless GMs will pull the trigger. The CaucasianRivals.com media and the DWFs will scoff and lambaste the signing of Jones as the signing of "Powder" and these chickens are scared. Ridiculous that getting caught with coke ONCE may mean the end for Jones when a fair number other afroletes have done worse and play on.

I am skeptical that if Jones misses this entire year that he will EVER play NFL ball again. Meanwhile Vick can trade in his orange suit after two seasons out of the league for an NFL uniform and still be a media darling, when he still hasn't even done anything in the NFL since the news break of his torturing of helpless dogs.

When was the last time Vick won an important game? I think it was about seven years ago against the Packers at Lambeau..wasn't it?Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

I think it's funny that Mortensen said the Cowboys have interested in Jones. The Cowboys and idiot owner Jerry Jones would be the last team to sign Matt Jones.

The Lions' Calvin Johnson is out for a few games. Everyone is talking about how the Lions now have no deep receiving threat. Wonder where they could find a tall, fast, reciever who can catch the deep ball??? I wonder?

The Lions would never sign Jones. The way they treated Mike Furrey was beyond belief. Over the years they have been one of the worst teams for whites to play for. Let them rot and lose 14 or 15 games this year.

Laugh of the day. Looks like we have it back asswards here at CF. Just shows again that the more blacks are pandered to the more filled with racial resentmentmany become:

Media bias favors whites in NFL, college football

In the world of professional and college sports, there is a huge difference in the way black players and white players are treated by the media and those who regulate sports. It appears that when dealing with and reporting on athletes, black players are treated in a more negative way than white players. Here are a few examples.

In August, Tom Cable - the white coach of the Oakland Raiders - allegedly punched assistant coach Randy Hanson and broke Hanson's jaw. This happened more than two months ago, and you barely hear mention of it on the daily sports shows. The Oakland Raiders organization will not speak to the issue, calling it an internal matter. The NFL will have no comment despite the fact it has been two months since the alleged attack by Cable.

About a month ago, Oregon tailback LeGarrette Blount - who is black - was suspended for the entire season for punching a white Boise State player. The same day this happened, sports reporters and pundits already were saying that Blount should be suspended for the entire season and that his stock as an NFL player, the prospects of such almost a year into the future, had dropped so low he might not be drafted. Two days later, the regulating authority for Oregon did just that and officially suspended Blount for the entire season.

Matt Jones, a white wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL was caught and arrested in July 2008 for possession of cocaine, a charge that carried a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Not only did you not hear anything on the weekly NFL pre-game shows about Jones, the felony charge was later reduced and the case sent to drug court. The NFL did nothing on this case until October 2008, allowing Jones to continue to play football almost the entire season, except for the last three games, when the Jaguars had already been eliminated from any playoff hopes. Can you imagine what would have happened if this had been Terrell Owens or Pac Man Jones?

It is astonishing how differently the media report cases involving black players and white players by overly emphasizing the negative when reporting on black players, overlooking the negative on white players and constantly portraying white players as the blond, blue-eyed all-American type.

When have you heard a black player, or any black person on TV for that matter, described as all-American? Look at the way they hounded Owens and Jones. Even when it was thought Owens might have tried to commit suicide, a time when all reporters should have shown restraint, black reporters and white reporters continued to report negatively on him.

I know I will get a lot of negative comments on this one, but just what has Pac Man Jones been convicted of? This young man was no angel, but he was only 21 years of age when his troubles began. I contend the media helped create an image of Jones that turned everyone against him. The media's reports were full of unsubstantiated reports and sometimes downright falsehoods.

The NFL is about 70 percent black, but you would not know this if you went by the interviews conducted during the pre-game shows. And during the game, listen to how the announcers drool over the white quarterback, and when the quarterback is not having a good game, they tend to blame others, particularly the wide receivers, for dropping balls.

The most famous case, to me, was our own Peyton Manning when he played at Tennessee. Manning could never beat Florida. The whole time he played, Tennessee was in contention for the National Championship until we ran into Florida.

If you could go back and watch those games, you would hear how the announcers blamed the wide receivers for the poor showing Manning had, accusing the receivers of dropping passes.

Yet Tee Martin came in the year after Manning left to win a national championship. Martin and Tennessee also beat Florida that year. But even today, the Media speak of how awesome Manning was at Tennessee, and you never hear mention of Martin, who is black.

Finally, why is it you never hear announcers making comments about the fights among players in hockey, which is 99 percent white players? Whenever there is a fight in football or basketball, you hear the criticism for days on the sports shows. Some commentators even go so far as to call some players in football and basketball "hoodlums" and "thugs." If the players in hockey were 99 percent black and they fought the way they do now, it would have been stopped years ago.

Yes, Barrack Obama may have been elected president, but in the everyday lives of the sports world, bias and racism still exist.

Unbelievable!  What a clown this writer is.  Considering the school has 2 whites and 2 hispanics I can just imagine the atmosphere.

We all know what a scumbag Pacman Jones is.  Matt Jones is a decent person who made a mistake. Matt Jones doing coke was only hurting himself and his career.  Negro superstar Jones ruined many peoples lives.

The only reason why the media talks about blout punching the white player more is because there was video footage of it happening.<div>
</div><div>If there was video of Tom Cable punching someone it would have probably been talked about more.</div><div>
</div><div>This "writer" is a f****** idiot.</div><div>
</div><div>And I hear the announcer's bash the quaterback more than the WR for the WR dropping balls. Not sure what kind of football this douche is watching.</div>

Um, Terrell Owens has never committed a single crime....easy slip-ups like this prove that this writer lacks even the most basic knowledge of NFL players.

Also, comparing the crimes of Pacman Jones (hurting others) to Matt Jones (hurting yourself) makes no sense....but then again, this is Bolshevik-esque Amerikan journalism.

This guy is just another black racist from a historically black college trying to poison our minds.  I laugh at this article because that's what it is: a joke.

I was just briefly watching the NFL Network. Bigunreal refers to it as the Chad Ocho Cinco Network. Well, guess who was being interviewed -- Ocho Cinco. Doing the interviewing were Marshall Faulk and Warren Sapp. Faulk speaks English almost as poorly as Emmit Smith, while I'm not sure what language Sapp does his rapid-fire mumbling in.

Two affirmative action hires interviewing a buffoon who receives endless media exposure. The persecution of black Americans just goes on and on.

Warren Sapp is one of the biggest a--holes ever.  I remember him and Keyshawn or some other player laughing at Wayne Chrebet and calling him "flashlight."

Simply put, blacks are 10x more racist then whites. Not only this, but the mass media allows and encourages black racism towards whites.
This is why the outcry over things like Rush Limbaugh, and back in the 80s over Jimmy the Greek (who made a historically accurate reference) is deemed 100% completely non-tolerated.

If they open the door to open and truly honest debate, the Caste system would be identified and thus, destroyed.
That is not allowed to happen because that would hurt the multicultural and jewish ideologies, which is in a nutshell to prop up nonwhites, jews and assorted misfits to the detriment of White peoples.

Thehatred and scapegoatingof Jones is to the point of Orwellian style rewriting ofhis career at Arkansas. This article on Houston Nutt blames his failures while coaching Arkansas on his quarterbacks. Here's the pertinent paragraph:

"Most of his teams fell short because his developments of quarterbacks stalled. The achievements of star running backs Darrren McFadden and Felix Jones failed to overcome the meager production of quarterbacks Matt Jones, Casey Dick and Mitch Mustain. . ."

Jones left Arkansas with the second most passing yards in school history, and he set the SEC career mark for rushing yards by a quarterback (which Tim Tebow is on the verge of eclipsing).

The Caste System has done a number on Matt Jones as bad as anyone can remember. It's amazing that with the lack of talented receivers in the nfl, that no team would want this guy. Matt Jones has Pro Bowl Potential but it is his skin disease that scares people way. Maybe Matt should be in a tanning salon year round so that some team will take a chance on him. Another reason to support college football over the nfl!

Galloway had 1,000 yard receiving seasons in 2005, 2006 and 2007 before being injured last year, so I don't think he's the best example, but there's no question the league is filled with scrubs and recycled journeymen and all kinds of "professional receivers" who can't catch or run proper routes.
