Manu had a monster game last night, dropping 46 on the Cavaliers including 18 in the 4th quarter when he didn't miss a shot. check out this stat line: 15-20 FGs (8-11 3-pt fgs), 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, and just 1 turnover.

perhaps "more impressively" to the black-worshipping masses, he put up most of those numbers with Lebron "King" James trying to guard him.

Manu has been on a tear this season, and deserves to be on the All-Star team, especially when you consider what he's been doing without backcourt mate Tony Parker.

as an aside, Lebron had a good game (he scored 39) but even with his big night it took him 31 shot attempts to get his points.

Manu is just deadly.

How could this guy be coming off the bench exclusively last season for the Spurs? Just ridiculous for a guy of his skill level and accomplishments. Must be more of the same typical white athlete who will do anything for the team at the expense of his own career.Edited by: guest301

The current issue of The Sporting News has Ginobili ranked as the 19th best player in the NBA. Probably a little lower than where he should be but still not bad for a backup.

A team with Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, Manu Ginobli, Chris Kaman, David Lee, Andrei Kirelinko, and Mike Miller, among others would be tough to beat. plus Jose Calderon, Z Illgauskus, Luke Walton, JJ Reddick, Andrew Bogut, Pau Gasol...

I don't denounce selfless whiten athletes it's just frustrating when a guy like Lions WR Mike Furrey who catches over 100 balls and over a 1000 yards one season all the sudden gives up his starting spot with nary a complaint just because a new high draft pick black player shows up on the scene. We need more white stars just as much if not more than we need the "selfless white athlete". Being selfless and humble are good traits to have it just seems that white athletes major more in that than anything else.

Manu dropped in 44 points last night and winning basket with 6 second left. He truely is a special player. Now if he could start the rest of the games and put up numbers like this, he could the fourth straight white player to get the MVP!

Manu dropped 30 pts last night and again lead the spurs to victory. He should be a lock for player of the month. He now begins the march toward the MVP. His closest rival is Kobe Bryant who is also having a great season and with addition of Pau Gasol he might be the favorite.

Manu is back in the mix now, since returning from an injury during the Olympics. Since his return, he has scored in double digits in all but one game. Welcome back Manu, his season high for now is 21 points.

Don't expect him to be a full-time starter, he will most likely split time starting and coming of the bench.

Ginobili is my first or second favorite player, so it really pisses me
off that he plays so few minutes. He should be a perennial All Star. Fortunately, the Spurs win the title every other year, so NBA fans have seen his skills first hand. He still doesn't get nearly as much credit as he deserves for his athletic ability. I don't know of any other player that can start and stop, change directions and spin like he does.

I think most people consider Hispanics white athletically and more like blacks intellectually. They get the worst of both worlds.

I am forever blessed to have seen a superb white guard like him (along w/ Steve Nash), JJ Redick should learn a thing or two from him. Spurs won 131-124 over Toronto. Argentina is a predominantly white country (85-97% white), many of them having Spanish and Italian ancestors.

Manu's crossover "slash move" on Kobe Bryant, a couple years ago in the playoffs, almost had my eyes pop out of my head. He juked Kobe so bad, Kobe lost his balance. Then Manu picked the ball up to gracefully leap high and put in a one handed dunk with a help defender closing in!

Besides that, there is the opportunity to win the 6th man award, which seems to get a great deal of recognition. Much better than the "5th man award".

The Spurs have a lot of offensive power with Parker and Duncan in their starting lineup. Ginobili brings a rare ELITE offensive player and underrated defender off the bench for the second team. Ginobili makes things happen with the second team- and of course filling in with the starting team in the 4th quarter. Popovich has also stated that Manu gets the butterflies before big games and is better on the bench for the first couple minutes. When he starts out from tip off, he tries to do too much, gets a quick foul- or tries a risky thread the needle pass too quickly. A couple bad plays early on can really create a slow start. That being said, they still need to find Manu 28-35 minutes a game- so he's basically a starter.
