LSU FB/HB Jacob Hester

This fast and powerful runner seemingly came out of nowhere tonight in the Peach Bowl. With only 10 carries had 58 yards and a score in only 2 series, plus a 15 yard catch. He is a 6-0, 232 pound sophomore who can play FB or TB as proven by his Peach Bowl performance tonight. He was a backup to Kevin Steltz who is a senior, so Hester should see playing time the next two years. Hester is from powerhouse Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana. With Matt Flynn possibly at QB, good things might happen in Baton Rouge!

Jacob ended the Peach Bowl with 13 carries for 70 yards. I hope he gets a shot at being the feature back in some games over the next 2 years. He has already showed the world he has more than enough of what it takes to succeed. Speed, agility, and power!

Knowing Les Miles he'll screw the kid over but this is college and not the NFL so the possibility is always there.

I watched the game and the announcers were already trashing him as just a pass catching fullback.
