Hey all just wondering when was the last time this went down? I think the patriots COULD technically have done it this season with an injury or two but when was the last time 11 white guys started on offence in the nfl? or if you can defence which would be a bit more tricky. Apologies if this thread has been done before if it has I could not find it. Thanks

The Patriots have had 10 Whites playing on offense on a few occasions, when they had an all-White offensive line and were using Gronk and two or three White receivers and/or also had a fullback in for a play. I remember 9 White starters a number of times, but since they began adding sumos to the o-line a few years ago the overall number of White starters has dropped, though if they went back to an all-White line and used Burkhead the potential is there for 11 Whites on the field at one time. However, I think the Patriots have peaked when it comes to their "whiteness" on offense.

The legendary undefeated Miami Dolphins of 1972 started 10 Whites on defense, which of course explains why they were nicknamed the "No Name Defense" despite their dominance. That's most likely the Whitest defense of the past 45 years; the last all-White one was probably sometime in the 1960s.

If you count Aaron Hernandez (mestizo) as White, then if I recall correctly, the 2011 New England Patriots offense (at least for one game) either started 11 whites or engineered offensive drives in which it only featured white players:

QB - Tom Brady
RB - Danny Woodhead
WR- Wes Welker
WR - Julian Edelman
TE - Rob Gronkowski
TE - Aaron Hernandez
LT - Matt Light
LG - Logan Mankins
C - Ryan Wendell
RG - Dan Connolly
RT - Sebastian Vollmer

If you don't consider Aaron Hernandez white, then at least you can say this was probably the last time a NFL team fielded 11 non-black offensive players.

During the 2012 season, Woodhead left, James Develin came in at FB, Edelman took more snaps at WR, so it's possible for a play or two, they might of had 11 non-black offensive players on the field. As Don previously mentioned, at the end of the 2013 season, the Patriots might of had 10 whites playing on the offensive side due to the late season addition of Austin Collie (WR corps featured Edelman, Amendola, Collie).

The 2011 season was definitely one for the record books! The team came short of winning the super bowl (thanks to the defense), Welker lead the league in receptions and just fell short of leading the league in receiving yards, and this was the season Edelman played the cornerback position.

I'm only 31 years old, and as of today, this was my all time favorite caste-busting team!

I had high hopes for Austin Collie. But if my memory serves, he suffered a lot of concussions which prematurely ended his career. He would have been great if those concussions never happened.

The "whiteness" of the 2011 season extended into 2012 and didn't go unnoticed. Bill Simmons, one of the biggest "sports cucks" in the history of modern media, posted the following comment on his website (Grantland.com) mentioning New England's offensive whiteness. Of course, he didn't address the topic, because, well, he's a pussy.

Question: With Brady, Vollmer, Connolly, Mankins, Solder, Wendell, Welker, Woodhead, Edelman, & Gronkowski, are the 2012 Patriots officially the whitest offense in NFL history? Even the 1773 Patriots had Crispus Attucks. —Andy Sayegh, Shreswbury, MA

Simmons' imbecilic response completely dodges the question of why the best offense in the NFL in almost entirely white:

"SG: Twice a year, I stumble across a stupendously good reader e-mail and think about stealing it, then pretending I never saw it, before ultimately deciding against it for karmic reasons. This is one of those times. My only nitpick: You could have tweaked the joke and said Brandon Lloyd was Crispus Attucks. As for the Pats-Bills game, anytime someone is favored by more than four but less than six, that means the betting public is totally confused by the game. The Pats are favored by 4.5, sticking this squarely in the Vegas Zone. But can you really see Brady and Hobo Bill Belichick losing three in a row because Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tashard Choice and a hobbled Fred Jackson went bonkers at home?"

Brandon Lloyd joined the team in 2012 and was usually on the field for every snap, eliminating the chance for an "all-white" offense on various plays like in 2011. Also, Woodhead's snaps were dramatically decreased and Edelman and Gronk both landed on IR.

The Vince Lombardi coached, 1964 Green Bay Packers. All 11 offensive starters, with Jim Taylor and Paul Hornung in the backfield together. Jim Taylor a HOF RB led the NFL in rushing in 1962 with 1,474 yards and averaging 5.4 yards per carry. Anyway, here's the starting all white offense that was virtually the same in 1962 when they won the NFL Championship!
QB-Bart Starr
HB- Paul Hornung
FB- Jim Taylor
FL-Boyd Dowler
SE-Max McGee
TE-Ron Kramer
LT-Norm Masters
LG-Fuzzy Thurston
C-Bob Skornowski
RG-Dan Grimm
RT-Forrest Gregg
There's probably several others back in the 60's, but it's the Packers that came to mind first, because of Jim Taylor and Paul Hornung in the backfield.
Dallas was also very white, but I could only come up with 8 offensive starters, including Walt Garrison at RB/FB.
Interesting thread. I'll try to do some more research.

Amazing how reversed everything has become in relatively short period of time. The glass ceiling is thick for white athletes. We should call for equal pay. Has anyone done an analysis on white salaries vs black?

Going by the profootball reference website and researching many of the teams I came up with the 1962 Baltimore colts as the last team with an all white defense. There were still a few teams that I never got around to looking at though,so I could be wrong. Also all white were the 1961 eagles. Most teams it seems at that time started at least one or two blacks.

I read in one of the NFL census a few years back that white salaries on average per player are higher. I think being dominant at QB, Center and maybe even the increased importance of tight end have led to this along with a few outliers on defence like JJ watt. Kicker, Punter, Fullback, Center, QB and Tight end are all majority white in the NFL as of last year which I though was interesting.

Whites tend to be dominant at their positions as they're grossly discriminated against and have to be "twice as good" to even get an opportunity. Blacks make up the vast majority of scrubs, so that would be why their salaries are lower on average if that's indeed the case. But a lot of White stars undersell themselves when they are free agents or about to become free agents and sign for less than their black counterparts, other than at quarterback. This is especially true for White receivers. Being aware of the Caste System at least to some degree may account for this, plus being more loyal to the organization that originally signed or drafted them, even though the NFL is a pure mercenary business.

Kicker, punter and fullback are all very low paid positions btw.
