He has been on fire of late finally getting to play some minutes, last 4 games averaging 16 ppg, and is 16-26 from 3 point land, thats better then shaq is from the free throw line. I hope he was named for the three point shoot out because he should be the favorite for the event.

I believe he's second in the league in 3 pointers made. He had
a game winning shot against Indiana recently, too. He has
some of the best shooting mechanics in the game. No doubt
that he should be in the 3 point contest. He was a last minute
replacement in last year's contest, so he has one under his belt
    for this year.

He's competing in the 3-point shootout, along with Vladimir
Radmanovic. He'll also be in the Rookie Challenge game,
along with Kirk Hinrich, Beno Udrih, and Luke Ridnour.
Hopefully this year it'll be better than last year's game, which
was literally the worst basketball game that I've ever seen.

I'll have to check that out. When is the all star game anyway?

I believe the Rookie Challenge game is on Friday, the 3-point
shootout is on Saturday, and the All Star game is on Sunday.

I'm watching the Jazz play the 76'ers and just saw a stat on Kyle. He has made 41 straight free throws and leads the league in FT% with 93. Awesome stuff! He's second on the team in scoring with 14.5, and leads the team in 3 point % with 44.6. Strangely though, heis not starting. He's played in 63 of 65 games, but started just 1. He is getting 31 minutes a game though.

Colonel Reb. I've noticed looking at NBA depth charts that there are a few cases of white players who are clearly better players playing a lot of minutes, but listed as backups. You could say the same for David Lee this year, and Wally Swzerbiak and Mike Miller have been in that situation before. I think the coaches don't want to mess with the fragile egos of the "me first black players" who they give the starting nod to. Not saying all the black players are that way but a significant amount are.

There's also plenty cases of backups who should be seeing much more time like Jose Calderon who is as good or better than TJ Ford. Also rookies getting screwed like Redick. Then there is Houston who plays the clanker shooting lack of court vision Rafer Alston ahead of Spanoulis and Sura.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Well, a lot has happened since last March. Korver is now with the Jazz and is doing really well. The Jazz are starting 2 whites pretty much every game, and you can see 4 whites on the floor quite a bit. Kyle is averaging 22 minutes a game, 10.3 points per game, and is leading the Jazz in free throw percentage by a wide margin. He had 14 against the 76ers and 16 against Denver last night.

Stephen A. Smith credits Korver for Utah's improvement, maybe it's true,
    maybe it's a Philly thing.

Kyle Korver's consecutive games with at least 1 3 pointer is in jeopardy. He has no 3's through 3 quarters. Let's hope he gets one!!!!
I'll update at the end of the game.

    Good Job Kyle!!

Kyle Korver's NBA record of consecutive games with a 3 pointer ended Wednesday night at 127!
Kyle passed previous record holder Dana Barros by 38 games.

With all of the great shooters we have seen over the last two or three decades, this record will probably never be broken. It's very hard to hit a three game after game. Even if it's only one per game. Congrats to Kyle Korver. His name is etched in Nba History! :becky:

Extremely cringy, pandering, longwinded and frankly unnecessary article from one of the great shooters of all time who is so close to retirement.

    Also if we want to talk about privilege, what about steph curry. 2,482 / 5,688 = .436 % vs korver 2,351 / 5,478 = .429 %

Landing all the deals, endorsements and accolades for essentially just jacking up threes ata faster rate

That’s some pathetic stuff from korver who no doubt encountered anti-white discrimination during his life/career. Nothing ground breaking about his article - just more pandering to minorities who have been told its ok to blame whitey for their problems since the 60s.
