Can anyone tell me why Kevin Kaesviharns hit didn't make Tom Jacksons "Jacked Up" Top 5???? Its a Top 5 hit of the year not just the week. Here it is:

I was wondering the same thing two weeks ago, when Brian Russel laid out Chad Johnson, that didnt make the "jacked up list"

Student:"Ooh ohh teacher teacher pick me! I know I
    know!".

    Teacher:"Yes, young man, lets
    hear your answer."

Student:"Because he's White, and embarrased yet
    another loud-mouthed, over-hyped,
    black "afflete" on national t.v."

    Teacher:"Correct-a-mundo!"

I've been following Kaesviharn for a while, and he was initially listed as a corner his first year or so, but, well you guys know the story. Sorry Whitey, no cornerback for you. [IMG]

Are you talking about the hit that was illegal because he hit him with his helment? And after that pently didn't the Patriots score a touchdown?

I think Kevin is at least part native american...none the less a really underrated player due to his lighter skin tone.

Kaesviharn is half Asian (Thai), same mixture as Johnny Damon.

Are you being sarcastic Philipj? That guy catches the pass and its a 30 yard gain. Instead, he got his bell rung by the hit of the year and its a 15 yard gain from the penalty which was a bad call. He got JACKED UP--the rest is irrelevant.

Lewis thought the Bengals got wronged Sunday when strong safety Kevin Kaesviharn was whistled for unnecessary roughness when he drilled New England wide receiver Reche Caldwell in midair to knock a pass loose. The officials called it helmet-to-helmet, but replays showed Kaesviharn turned his shoulder to avoid leading with his head.

"It's tackle football, right?" Kaesviharn asked Monday. "I wasn't out there trying to go head-to-head. Things happen so fast, you just can't do all the things they expect you to do. They're trying to protect players, I understand that but I don't know in that situation."

    Lewis agreed with a smile.

"We aren't allowed to comment on those things and you know that. It looked like he turned his shoulder a little bit, though, didn't it?" Lewis asked. "He turned his shoulder. He didn't hit with the side of his helmet. He turned. His helmet never touched the other player, and I don't think the other player's helmet ever got hit. To me, it looked like it was a shoulder-to-shoulder collision. But it's a difficult thing for that guy in the back to make that call. We have a chance to slow it down and watch it, and I'm sure television has an even better view of it than what I've seen on tape. All that guy sees from behind is what occurs, and you need help from other people."

They didn't put that or the Russell hit on Chad Johnson on Jacked Up because both players were injured after the play. They don't put stuff on there where guys get injured, I think you would agree it would be in bad taste. As for the penalty, yeah that was pretty lame.

The whole premise of the 'jacked up' thing is a little too ghetto for my taste anyway.

Anyone remember the program that used to show old football games? The guy who did the voice overs had a classic, deep voice, perfect for narrating football games. I'd like to see a show about hard hits done like that, without all the jive.

Couldn't agree more. Just another way to get the thugs to act insane just to get on the highlight reel. No different than dunking in basketball. the importance of a "glamorous" dunk is completely irrelevant as to who wins the game.

Yes, he did turn sideways and try to avoid the helment to helment hit but from what I saw it did look like his helment hit Reche Caldwells helment. What does it matter anyways? The Bengals lost anyways and their secondary gave up a couple of touchdowns and some big runs. I'm glad to see the Bengals lose anyways seeing how black they are anyways.Edited by: Philipj

I agree about the Jacked Up thing. To Keasviharn's credit, he got up, looked down at Caldwell, presumably to speak to him, and all the while, no acting the the part of the fool.

i am a BIG fan of Kaesviharn. i saw him play in both the defunct XFL and Arena League, and he was completely dominant in both leagues. his first stint in an NFL training camp was as a Green Bay Packer and resulted in him picking off Brett Favre twice and returning both interceptions for touchdowns in the team's final scrimmage.

his reward? the turk got him. [IMG]

in limited starts at both corner and safety for the Bengals, he routinely leads the team in interceptions. the guy is just plain good. also, if i remember correctly, he was almost an olympic level high jumper.

explain an alternative reason than the caste system for him to have to attend such a small school as Augustana.Edited by: Jimmy Chitwood

Given that any kids of mine will be a quarter Asian, I think I need to start taping/saving any Kaesviharn highlights now.

Kaesviharn put a mean hit on a Patriots TE or Receiver. I think it was Ben Watson. It got called back for unnecessary roughness, but it appeared to be a legal hit. Even the announcer said so.
