The Rams played like crap for most of the game.Kevin Curtis had 7 catches for 63 yards.I can't believe that they lost to the Niners.

Marc Bulger threw to Curtis a total of 14 times in the game. Bulger won't have many games where he throws 56 times like he did against SF, but it's a good sign that Curtis may break through this year like Stokley did last year. Isaac Bruce had just 3 receptions and fumbled once. However the Rams #4 WR Shaun McDonald had 7 catches.

It should be an interesting game this weekend between the Rams & the Cardinals. As you guys know, the Rams were the team that made Warner a star. Now he is probably seen his best games already but he is still a classy guy.I look for the Rams to bounce back in a big way.The Cards couldn't stop the Giants and will have even a tougher time stopping Curtis and the Rams.I say Bulger throws for 400 yards this weekend with Curtis going over 100 on the receiving end!

Curtis had a nice game yesterday with 5 catches for 56 yards and a 10 yard TD. Isaac Bruce had just 1/11 and sat out part of the second half with a turf toe injury. Turf toes can linger, so Curtis may become the clear number two receiver on the Rams over the next few games.

It's official.Kevin Curtis will be starting 100% on Sunday as the number 2 receiver. This is an excellent chance for him to boost his career even more.I expect him to go over the century mark.Good luck to him and the Rams!

I enjoyed the Rams/Giants game today even though it was a blow out.The Rams were throwing the ball like it was an Arena Football Game. They got down big early and had to abandon the run.Dane Looker had 8 catches for 90 yards. Our boy Curtis had 6 catches for 78 yards.Bulger threw for over 400 yards again but he isn't getting much help from his offensive line.He is gettting killed back there. The Rams biggest problems are still on defense.Hopefully they can bounce back next week.

Good news for Curtis and the Rams.Mark Bulger did not separate his shoulder,it is only badly bruised. There is a chance he may return this Sunday. The Rams need him very badly.I would put Bulger in the top 6 qb's in the whole nfl.

Bulger didn't play today but the Rams found a way to win.Kevin Curtis had 4 catches for 90 yards and 1 rush for a 5 yard touchdown run.Late in the game,Mike Furrey intercepted a pass and returned it 67 yards for a touchdown. It kind of reminded me of Zbokowski in the Notre Dame Game.Furrey is really playing good. The Rams are a fun team to watch!

Both Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt will be out again this week, which makes Curtis the Ram's number one receiving option. Of course Marc Bulger also looks to be out again, and the Rams have two (black) rookies starting on their offensive line. If Curtis can have another good game under these conditions, he'll add significantly to his already growing reputation.

I voted today for the pro bowl on nfl.com. Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt were both on the ballot, but not Kevin Curtis. I was willing to cut them a little slack and thought that maybe there is limited room and they list only two players from each team per position. However the "big" three from Detroit were all listed, including Charles Rogers with his 25 yards receiving. WTF?

Watching the Rams play Jax today. Not even 5 minutes in and he has an 84 yard touchdown catch!

I wish that Bulger would hurry up and get back.Curtis and Bulger seem to have a nice chemistry.Kevin has been catching the deep ball here and there but is not getting nearly enough passes thrown his way.He should easily be averaging over 100 yards a game if he could catch between 7 to 10 passes a game.Get this kid the ball.

Well, Bulger is back, but so are Bruce and Holt. I'll be watching the Rams-Seahawks game with interest tomorrow, hoping it's a shootout and that Curtis and Jurevicius have big games.

Kevin Curtis has almost 600 yards receiving so far this season with 7 games to go.I would really love to see him go over 1000 yards.I think that he has a 50/50 shot of doing it depending on his playing time.If they give him several more starts then it will almost surely happen.Good luck to Curtis.Show them your heels Kevin.

Curtis,a.k.a. "White Lightning Junior"lol, had another great game today. He had 9 catches for 99 yards and a acrobatic, leaping 26 yard td late in the game.He is every bit as good as Holt and Bruce.I think he will be a star for many years to come. It's too bad that Bulger got hurt again but J.Martin was quite impressive coming off the bench.Kevin now is up to almost 700 yards receiving with 6 games to get the final 300 yards.I think that he should easily clipse the magical number.Way to go Curtis!

Curtis is now up to 15th in the NFL in receiving and 11th in the NFC.He is quietly having a very good year.
He is probably the best hope to eclipse the 1000 yard mark with some of the other guys not having the best years or being hurt.I really think that Curtis could possibly lead the NFL in receiving in the next couple of years if they continue to start him and have a healthy qb to get him the ball. The qb situation in St.Louis has been like a merry go round. It makes what Curtis is doing even more special. He also is doing it on a very mediocre team.

Curtis looks like he'll be going over the 1,000 yard mark but its going to probably come down to the last game of the season. The Rams better start this guy ahead of Issac Bruce next year. Curtis is just so much younger and plain better.

Here is a quote by Fox Announcer Neil O'Donell after Kevin Curtis ran 56 yards for the game winning score.
"He isn't the fastest but he works really hard".What a joke! They are making fun of O'Donell because he is an idiot who doesn't know what speed is.It is becoming widely known that Curtis is the fastest player on the Rams Team and one of the fastest players in the NFL!There is absolutley no question about that.I can't wait till this kid can start every game.Bruce had a great career but needs to retire or become the 3 or 4 receiver.

We should all take a good hard look at the Kevin Curtis situation. Here
we have a WR stepping into a starting role, after an aging veteran was
injured, and producing about as much as anyone can reasonably expect a
player to produce, especially considering that Torry Holt is the other
starting WR. However, as soon as the aging black veteran Bruce was able
to play again, he was handed back his starting role. This case is about
as blatant as it gets, folks. Young, very fast, and super productive
player being benched for an older, much slower and less productive
veteran. The ONLY reason that any coach would make such an idiotic
decision is race. We all know that no young black WR, who was anywhere
near as fast or productive as Curtis has been, would be benched for an
aging white veteran. Just as important is the situation in Seatlle,
where Joe Jurevicious has been fantastic in a promient role while black
veterans Darrell Jackson and Bobby Engram were hurt. When Jackson
returns to the lineup, will Holmgren have the sense to keep starting
Jurevicious, or return him to his rightful, white place as third WR?
The contrast there is even more ridiculous; Jurevicious is big, fast
and very productive, while Engram is small, slow and almost never
scores touchdowns. If Engram starts over Jurevicious, then it is next
to impossible for anyone to ever overthrow the Caste System.

The Rams may cut Isaac Bruce as early as tomorrow, which would instantly make Curtis a starter. The other scenario however is that Bruce will agree to restructure his contract and remain a starter. He's younger than Marvin Harrison, plus we don't know anything about the new Scott Linehan regime that replaced Mike Martz. Martz was truly unique in the NFL of the past 25 years in having up to three white receivers on his roster at the same time.

Let's hope Bruce has an unrealistic view of his value and gets cut. Curtis deserves to be starting. I believe he's a restricted free agent so if the Rams keep Bruce he should at least see if another team is willing to give him starter's money.
______________

Rams May Cut Bruce
By Jim Thomas
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
03/05/2006

THE RAMS' OFFER

$9 million over the next three years

Are Isaac Bruce's days numbered with the Rams?

What once seemed unthinkable suddenly seems possible. According to league sources, a contract impasse between Bruce and the Rams has reached the point where the club might release Bruce rather than carry his $10 million salary cap figure into the 2006 season.

Barring another delay in the start of what's called the "league year" - that is, the free agency and trading period - that could happen as early as Sunday. As things stand, Bruce is due a $1.5 million roster bonus Monday. Rather than pay that bonus Monday, the club is considering releasing Bruce in the absence of a new contract.

Bruce quietly agreed to contract renegotiations a couple of times in the past, most recently in 2002. But on those occasions, the Rams merely shifted money around to create immediate cap relief. This time, the team is asking him to take a significant pay cut.

The team is offering Bruce $9 million over three years, including $5 million this season in the form of roster bonus and signing bonus, according to league sources.

But without an extension, Bruce is due $8.1 million alone in 2006 under his current contract - the last year of a seven- year deal signed in 2000. That $8.1 million breaks down as follows: the $1.5 million roster bonus; $6.5 million in base salary; and a $100,000 offseason workout bonus.

So Bruce would make $3.1 million less this season under the extension. And in essence, he would be playing the entire three years of the Rams' proposal for only $900,000 more than he's scheduled to make this year alone under the old contract. (The $8.1 million in '06 compared to the $9 million, three-year proposal.)

Since the Rams moved to St. Louis from southern California in 1995, Bruce has been the face of the franchise. He has been dubbed the original "St. Louis" Ram, because he's the only player to have been with the team all 11 seasons in St. Louis.

Bruce played his rookie season of 1994 with the Los Angeles Rams, and then moved with the franchise to St. Louis in 1995. He was the team's only marquee player in its early years in St. Louis, and its first Pro Bowl selection. He caught the game-winning touchdown pass in the Rams' Super Bowl XXXIV victory over Tennessee.

Those close to Bruce say he would be willing to take a pay cut if the team was in a bad cap position. But the Rams are believed to be more than $10 million under the current projected cap of $94.5 million, even after making tender offers to several restricted free agents late last week.

At face value, the restructuring is similar to what the Rams did a year ago with Marshall Faulk, with Faulk taking a paycut from $6 million to $4 million in terms of money received in 2005. But Faulk's production had dipped annually since the Rams' 2001 Super Bowl season (the loss to New England), and he knew entering the 2005 season that his role would be greatly reduced behind Steven Jackson.

There has been no indication that Bruce will have a reduced role in St. Louis next season. Nine days ago at the NFL Scouting Combine, coach Scott Linehan said: "He still has a lot of juice. You watch him, even before he hurt his toe (last) year, he still runs every bit as good in my opinion as he ever did. He's got a couple really good years left in him."

Prior to missing five games with a toe injury last season, Bruce's production had been as good as ever. In 2004, he caught 89 passes - the second-highest total of his career, and his 1,292 receiving yards was his highest season total since 2000.

Bruce could not be reached for comment Saturday. Bruce's agent, Jimmy Sexton, said: "I know that Isaac really wants to finish his career as a Ram. Hopefully, something can be worked out."

The Rams normally don't discuss ongoing negotiations, and when reached Saturday, president of football operations Jay Zygmunt declined comment

Maybe now we can finally see Curtis start for a full season and put up monster numbers! They better not try to move McDonald above him.I can't see that happening but in the NFL,you never know.Curtis should have a good chance to get around 1200 yards receiving next season assuming he is the #2 Receiver!

Curtis should do great as a ful time starter. He had only 60 catches despite not even being a full time starter last year. So if he does start every game next year you can expect big things from Curtis(as long as Bulger doesn't get hurt).
