If Notre Dame had Cole Aldrich, Jon Leuer and perhaps Robbie Hummel - they would be contenders. Since someone might say, "that wouldn't be allowed" - I'll pre-empt it and disagree. The Notre Dame coaches would love to have a man like Cole Aldrich, with his length and athleticism and explosive shot-blocking ability. He's the defensive force that they don't currently have.
The Notre Dame coaches seem serious about winning. I hope damn good White athletes continue to flock there. If you get a Notre Dame offer, maybe you should take it.
